When one knows the sad story behind the writing of this hymn, the words mean even more. When we are in God's loving embrace He will never let us go! I encourage you to Google it and learn the story! Its very moving!

I've been singing for the better part of the last 30 years. This performance, even through this venue... a posting on youtube with only a meager pair of earphones, has absolutely enriched me beyond words. The human voice!! Arguable, the most perfect instrument ever made!!!!!!!!!!!

I have watched this about 100 times over the last year. To me, this moment in singing is a classic representation of what happens when preparation, acoustics, a good arrangement, and spiritual truth come together. The singers and the conductor are on a wild ride of the moment that they did not see coming, and it is absolutely thrilling.

The sound that fills and swirls around the cathedral when they let go of the word “endless” is pure musical magic. I’ve had the privilege to sing this in an acapella group too, but cannot approach the breathtaking beauty of the sound they make here.

The very stones of the church seem to come alive to this and worship their creator. Beautiful.

Especially that young to apply their talent on an ancient hymn of the Church.

This is what my feelings about God sound like. Renders me speechless, makes my heart ache for home, and brings tears to my eyes.

Seeing the glowing faces of these men is one of the most satisfying things to not only see, but hear in the music they're putting out for us all to hear. What an incredible arrangement and performance. Performances and pieces like this remind me why I sing.

Just lost a dear friend. A wonderful Christadelphian woman who was laid to rest today. This superb rendition just sings of her thank you.

I cannot listen to this enough times! It is sooooooooooooo soul-soothing. I wish this group would do many hymns like this in this church!

What story?

I’ve listened to this many times over the years and came back to it this morning. As tears filled my eyes, this music communicates God’s great love like I never experience in any other way and brings a yearning to be with Him and reminds me that this world is not my home. Thanks for this slice of heaven.

Same here... tears of great joy, love and adoration for the Almighty the giver and lover of my soul. And in particular: this piece, done in that building at that time through those voices. A spiritual experience.

He needs to get out of the way - the words of the song speak for themselves - he's rehearsed the song we do not need to see but only hear his interpretation - which is to his taste. For my taste I would prefer a less complicated interpretation that sincerely expresses the words; I'm delighted though that so many have found it a blessing.

This rendition of "O Love..." is the very best you will ever hear and find, no matter where you look.

David Phelps wrote this arrangement for GVB, and Westminster is one of the very few I have heard to do it sublime justice. It’s breathtaking. I think it’s easily the best arrangement of this hymn.

Kyle Mahan I just want to know if the guys who think it's a game of pictionary whether they truly think the boy band hand actions and wriggling around is somehow enhancing their singing. I also wonder such things as whether those people would also make a ringing sound if you hit them hard enough in the face with a cricket bat. Things we may never find an answer to.

I first heard of this hymn when I heard a simple upbeat guitar arrangement of the hymn from Chris Rice on my Spotify and I was just coming across some other arrangements here on KZread. I came upon this one and something just told me to stop scrolling and listen to it. Sure enough, it was worth me to stop scrolling! Um, it's a barbershop chorus -- albeit one of the greatest in the world -- but not connected to any religious organization.

After listening to this performance at least two dozen times, I keep replaying it. It's the most gorgeous performance of this powerful hymn ever! Supernal! Thank you for bringing the listener into the presence of God.

Wow!!! The majestic sounds emanating from this choral group l did not expect. I would have expected these men to be dressed in choir robes and not street clothes; which makes it all the more fascinating.

Don't you just love the expression on his face at about the 20 second mark as the acoustics and all really hit him. Love it!

I don't know exactly why, but once every 6-8 months I remember that this exists and I come back to it. I marvel at the artistry, I wonder if the men singing this song knew exactly what they were going to produce, and I wonder if being part of that has stuck with them these many years. It is truly something to create and be part of a moment as special as this. Thank you for sharing it with us.
