Oh my God, how can someone dislike such a lovely and tender song ?! I hope that eventually their bitterness will be healed. For me, this is true music, a sound and lyrics that touch the heart and soul. In this crazy world that we live nowadays we should cherish what is beautiful. If the westlifers decide to reunite, I hope they'll come to Romania too ! :)

Everytime I heard westlife music I felt like I'm shaken ,their voices are wonderful and their songs are so heartfelt,that's the reason why I truly loved them,since I was 18 and now I'm 41.,outside there,who still cherishing and crazy for westlife like me?? 💘💘💘

I think you'll find the original was released by Cliff Richard around about 1976. Bruce Welch introduced him t the song.

I didn't know this existed till today. Thankfully I will instantly forget it. Terrible. This is like Karaoke twaddle. A delicate love song made in to some sort of cry for a medic.

To believe when this video was released, and was to be a single release for the lads, they were really unhappy with it. All this cover nonsense aside, some bands these days would love to have a hit like this! Or rather, some bands could never get to this standard, but that said it is a different genre and feel to pop these days. It's a beautiful song nevertheless...we may never get anything like this again. ^_^

Since their entire singles recording career consisted of covers, I quite frankly have totally ignored their output since for me I never heard one of the covers that improved on the originals in even the remotest fashion. The only good thing they achieved was swelling the bank balances of the talented songwriters whose backs that rode on.

Yes we never were happy that WL did a lot of covers but if you look at it from a different POV, the producers would never risk suggesting such songs for Westlife to record if they didn't have powerful voices, it's rare for bands to sing at this level ... So glad the covers era is in the past now for them... The new material is amazing, and their originals have always been really really good

It's also worth noting that Westlife had a huge international fan base back then, and to most of these fans, the original versions of these songs were completely unknown. I must admit that after 20 years, and only after reading the comment section, I found out that Miss You Nights is a cover. I never had heard the original version nor about the singer who recorded it first. So I think that, although we prefer original songs, Westlife did a great job introducing to us some amazing songs from the past that we would never have heard if it wasn't for their rerecording.
