Off-roading is so much more then cars and gear… it’s the people! I’m so grateful for all the friendships we have made over the years. Angie, I am looking forward to actually making it onto the trails with you. Thank you for sharing your story and for watching out for my boys on the trip. 🤗

My relatives in Greece were flabbergasted that I would fly from my home in Thessaloniki, Greece where I was, to my home in Atlanta, GA, to pick up my JGC Trailhawk and drive all the way to join the Western Loop “event”. They thought that I was crazy! Yes, I was and am crazy for events like these, put together and organized by Brad; for the challenges, the views, the chance to push myself and my Trailhawk, but above all else to bond with the people, both new, and old friends! THAT to me is the actual value of this entire adventure: The Western Loop! Thank you Brad and guys and “our” lady with the sweet voice of a little girl, our Angie!

Angie is/was very transparent about her struggles both then and now. She has her whole Jeep done up in a wrap about the struggles of veteran suicide. She tells me it’s purpose is to start conversations. So many struggle and don’t reach out. We all have struggles each of our stories has failures and hurt in it. Sometimes hurt shuts us down and makes us feel isolated and alone. But we are not alone. Hang in there!

💚 I am all too familiar with those intense dark and exhausting feelings. It has taken me years to realize that nature and being on trails is where my healing can occur. When I unplug from society and just allow myself to focus to God’s word. I can’t begin to explain the intense emotional release that I experienced while driving Imogene Pass; the weight lifted off my shoulders and the legit pain released from my heart was God releasing me from my transgressions and it was overwhelming and to be honest, physically painful due to me trying to hold onto so many things for many years. Prodigal Overland allowed me the opportunity to climb and then stand upon a rock at 13,114 ft - literally physically and spiritually closer to God than I’d ever been. On the hood of my Grand Cherokee is Ps 40:2 “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” Thank you Brad for letting me physically stand on that rock God created for me to truly understand the meaning of that verse. 🙌 Stay strong, friend.
