Amtrak Train 5, running 4 minutes early into Fraser, descends the curve at Vasquez Crossing with the original Genesis P42 in Phase VII the #174 leading the "Pepsi Can" #160 on a beautiful summer solstice morning in the Colorado Rockies. Following the passing of The Most Talked About Train in America, we see a Lift Summer Black Line bus also running on time making an on call divergent up Vasquez Road from its main line routing. Lift Summer Black Line buses have 10 to 15 minutes "flexing" in its schedule to allow for buses to pick up passengers off route on stops that do not have regular service during the summer.
Also with the changing of the Zephyr's schedule this past Spring, Summer 2024 Lift buses on the Black and Granby Lines are slightly out of sync when transferring between train and bus. Dwell times while transferring at Fraser and Granby can be almost up to an hour or even more at Granby. However Thursday thru Sunday afternoons on the Summer Black run on the half hour between Fraser and Winter Park after 3PM until Labor Day Weekend. Video taken 06/20/2024.
