I hear ya, that is why I gotta go out there for striper before I start focusing on shad fishing.

Always A-1 video production.. I finally made it out there in that area but I got a few shakers and pike minnow…. But it was good to get out there… and the shad bite was hot too 🎣 tight lines

I was using pile worms here. Bloodworms would work well, but they are a little too expensive.

Also around what time is your pole in the water and what time you usually leave ? I usually do 8am to 12pm or 7am to 11am

Hey Bob! I was using pileworms on these trips, but I have caught them on just about everything including sardines and chicken liver. For rigging, I use the fish finder rig.

@@Bobdogg21 I'm usually out there at sunrise and I fish for a few hours afterwards only. MOst of the time when there are fish in the area, I'll be done around 8-9am.

I also caught a 27” there 15 ft from shore

I do switch up baits depending on what the bait stores have, but I think in this video I used pileworms for all three trips.

I think I was only casting like maybe around 50ft out? Normally I would not even have to cast that far, but the water is low this year.

I have 6 oz pyramid sinkers for both of my fishing rods.

It is right next to the West Sacramento sign brother. But that whole area up to Broderick Boat ramp are all great spots to fish. Good luck!

There definitely is. I was out last week and we tore them up. I got a few more striper videos from last week coming up on my channel, btw. The fish are making their way back to the ocean so if you fish the sac river, they will be spawned out(skinny).
