The camera angle is frustrating to watch, its impossible to judge the line of the ball when the angle is 10-15 degrees off square. They used to do that back in the 1950s but I thought by 1989 they had it sorted out.

WI bowling was great but there is no doubt they used intimidation more than the most. When you have such great fasr bowlers it's very easy to win matches. WI crowd chanting kill him maan doesn't help to change the perception of WI tactics sometimes bordered on barbarism and brutality. I respect their talent.

I think its peter walker, sadly passed away recently; he was the "hidden man" on bbc team, used to show up in front of the camera if someone off sick. Also -as well as lewis - played for glamorgan. Also had a cap or two for england.

The English commentator on the west indies fast bowling against India, if England had the attack of the west indies, they would not say one word, but what they would say is what beautiful bowling, remember the body line bowling against Australia, come on you English commentators, have a little respect for the west indies batting and bowling in world cricket.

1:10:30 Why didn't international cricket authorities in the late 70s & 80s apply a ban on any test cricket being played in the west indies after numerous serious life-threatening incidents - crowd riots , missile throwing at opposition players and umpires etc. - unless and until WI cricket body demonstrated satisfactory security . I can recall of some 5-6 separate incidents over these years .

Yes, but then those players were of a different era, so the current ones getting the same from their opponents does not make it a revenge. The only ones who gave them a taste of their own medicine were the Aussies in the 1991 series when McDermott & Hughes bounced at all of their batsmen resulting in Greenidge, Haynes & Logie being hit & Richards getting his cap knocked out of his head. This was followed by them again in 1995 when McGrath & co bounced their fast bowlers on purpose to rattle them, as no one except perhaps the Pakistanis had dared to do it to them while they used to do it liberally towards those in the opposition.

Why the heck the BBC couldn't televise West Indies v Pakistan Test Series 1988? They Televised West Indies v India 1989 Test Series. If we had DRS and Sniko technology in 1988 the West Indies would have lost the series 2-0 to Pakistan.
