That would be good option to have but more so of same type of bowlers in Hosein and Moti. Walsh brings a different variety. But I see where you are coming from.

This is solid squad. What do you think, Sammy is thinking on Shamar Joseph?

Motie will get it over Walsh Jnr and rightly so. In an ideal side, u wld want one of everything in terms of leg spin and off spin and left arm seam and right arm seam but bigger than that is their quality. i prefer quality bowlers over variety. Yes, Motie bowls the same variety as Hosein but both are better and more consistent than Walsh so they shld make the side over him

Only in IPL, if he can open for West Indies and produce the goods in the powerplay in addition to his bowling, then maybe we talking. But we know he's afraid of getting called again on his action.

1.King 2.Charles/fletcher/mayers/Rutherford/Hetmyer(think fletcher is the best option,Charles does not strike me as a batter that has any temperament at all/mayers because he is a leftie)gotta think outside the box. 3.Hope/Rutherford 4.Pooran/Hetmyer 5.Powell 6.Russell(2 overs,can bowl more if main bowlers have an off day) 7.Shepherd/Holder(2 overs, can bowl more if main bowlers have an off day) 8.A.Joesph(4 overs) 9.Hosein/chase (4 overs,if chase plays he bowls 2-4 over depending on spell. He can also be a floater, perfect for coming in when the windies are 3 down in the PP and keep the scoreboard ticking at 8/over to then give Dre russ, sheppy and rovman to go beserk in the last 6-7overs. 10.Motie/chase(4 overs) 11.McCoy/S.Joesph (4 overs, I like McCoy more because he has variations and is a left armer/Shamar is still new to this format. Who knows maybe he might shock us again. Keys to winning: 1.Playing 2 spinners can win us this World Cup, boundaries are small in the Caribbean, based off the IPL this year lots of 6’s will be hit. Having 2 spinners that can run through their overs fast will ensure we don’t get the 4 fielders out in the last over or 2. That plays a really really big part of restricting a team. 1.Brandon king has to have a tournament of his life. No less that 160 strike rate is acceptable. Rovman has to use shepherd and Russell very wisely, do not bowl them too early and too late, nor in tandem. 3.if Roston chase plays he has to bowl very economical or take bulk wickets. 2-46 will not be acceptable. 4.alzarri has to use his slower bouncer more often and slower ball. 5. RUN SINGLES, no dot balls‼️ 6.Rutherford is a wild pick to open or bat at 3 and hope opens with king.

No Hetmeyer our best available bat was dropped for not being fit enough and look at Hetmeyer. Even Lewis is better than all these guys.

Guys I can see why we are rubbish when i look at the players you have put forward.. How many bowlers have you put forward and you haven't mentioned JAYDEN SEALES. If there is one thing the Windies lack its wicket taking ability upfront. Alzarri joseph has no wicket taking ability and from what I have seen he can't restrict any batsman , 10 runs per over is what I see him consistency leaking so there is noway he would play in my team. Jayden Seales is fit and taking wickets in the English County championship, so his skills are being honed as the old skool once were. He is fit and ready to go and a must, leave Jospeh, Shepherd or McCOY they are all mediocre cricketers.

@michaelaustin-xx7cu Ask yourself who he is bowling with and taking more wicket than, who will definitely be bowling to the Windies batsman come the test matches this summer. I'd much rather him bowling and being coached here as it will benefit windies cricket long-term. It's amazing how quickly people forgot what this guy was doing before injury, I can tell you from now 2 more seasons in county cricket and he will be leading the west I dies attack for the next 10 years. He skills and understanding will have grown faster than play back in the West Indies, and his body will be stronger for actually bowling more overs than playing back in at home. This is what our players have been missing for the last 20 years good hard professional grounding and not the rubbish back the Wedt Indies, our players have become unprofessional and mentally weak, hence now favouring the crash band whallop stuff . We no longer have/ produce any potential or real-time greats.
