Normally that would be the case, but I think Chooks had reasonable grounds to stand on and say "Look, we want him to play today, we've named him, we've planned with him playing in mind, after today he can go into camp if he chooses." I think that would be fair because of how sudden it was.

Joey is nervous! He just tried to cover up all the difficult questions but he knows this is far from ideal for NSW. The series hasn't even started and the Blues are in trouble and will be praying to god a half or outside back doesn't go down. QLD only need to jag 1 game and then have a decider at Suncorp

Teddy coming in makes New South Wales the clear favourites now. Queensland has no chance. Might as well not even turn up. My beloved Queensland underdogs again.

Edwards is the game changer and also we want to see a different style of footy. Believe the injury occurs because of too much talking by the commentators about who should play with Tedesco the likely favoured over Edwards. He's a human being and if you all are comparing him against Tedesco than he must have felt that only the new nsw coach is the only person who stood by him apart from all other former nsw players and coaches. I urge you Edwards as a fan to concentrate on your club form because you are the best ever in Penrith colors. We aren't the underdogs though, betting odds say NSW are outsiders at $2.05, we're at $1.77. We couldn't spin the underdog moniker this time haha. I would love if we bash down the front door and win game 1 in Sydney, then locked the series up in Melbourne, then clean sweep in Brissy. But NSW are pesky and I know they'll at least pull 1 win out of their bag of tricks.
