In this West Coast Swing patterns video, Anthony and Rose Lewis of Country Dance X teach you a new way to look at the west coast swing basic steps, the side passes.
Many newer WCS dancers have tried a beginner west coast swing lesson or two and left completely confused about wcs and how to dance west coast swing basic steps. The truth is that if you're wanting to learn how to west coast swing dance, there is no single wcs basic step... there are a handful of west coast swing dance moves that would be considered as the basics.
In this video, Anthony and Rose teach one of the most common west coast swing basic steps, the side passes AND teach you how to dance several different west coast swing patterns from that single move.

Perfect time for this video! Currently working on WCS and 2 Step. Thank you for finally putting to words what I've been *feeling* but couldn't explain. My instructor will explain a step/move/concept and I'll be frustrated I can't execute it quickly. The way they (and you) explain things make it look so easy. How could I NOT do this right away?! Because (as Anthony explains) "It's simple. It's not easy." Wise words, those.
