West Coast Railways Steam At Speed

Hello & Welcome to this special tribute video.
This is a tribute program in memory of 1 of West Coast Railway's finest drivers of the past Albert Seymour known as Uncle Albert to his friends & colleagues who sadly passed away on the early May Bank Holiday Monday.
He was a kind hearted & charming gentleman which I had the privilege of talking to him on a number of occasions when ever I see him at the regulator of some of the finest mainline steam locomotives.
He will be sadly missed my thoughts & condolences goes out to his beloved family & friends at this very difficult time.
R.I.P Albert Seymour may The West Coast Steam Special take you to heaven & join many of the great railway pioneers who did so much for the steam movement.
I decided to put together a special collection of video clips of the steam locomotives owned by West Coast Railways & locos that are associated with the Train Operator showing them at speed during their finest hours when running on the national network. Something Uncle Albert would be proud of.
These video clips shows as early as 2013 right up to the 1st 4 months of 2018.

Based on the description, I'd surmise that the late Albert Seymour was very similar to Ross Rowland over here in the USA. Never met--or even heard of--him until a few seconds ago. I'm sure he and Ohio Central's Jerry Joe Jacobson are swapping stories in Heaven right now along with F. Nelson Blount, Jack Showalter, and many other "Giants of Steam." Also, Richard, OUTSTANDING compilation! Makes me wanna come over to Britain eventually to do some railfan events "across the pond."

That pacing shot with Leander has to be my favorite clip! From what I’ve seen in many other videos, pacing shots in Britain are almost nonexistent compared to here in the U.S. where many highways are right next to mainlines. I love clips where people waiting to catch a commuter train are just standing on the platform doing their own thing, and then they’re taken by surprise by a steamer going by at 75mph!

I have fired on so many engines at Crewe sheds in the 1950s, but the three cylinders, and the four cylinders were terrible to oil the rods under the boilers, that are rarely seen for those not firemen.
