West Coast Garbage Trucks - Part III: California
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
After a couple months of talking about how a follow up trip to last year's west coast garbage truck adventures should happen, I was lucky enough to be able to once again travel the western states with KZread user 3amrepmike3 in search of the more interesting garbage trucks these states have to offer that we weren't able to capture last time around. From April 2 to May 2, 2013 we traveled through Washington, Oregon, and California, filming 40+ different trucks altogether. This is the third and final part of a 3-part series giving you a taste of what we got to see on our adventures! In this part, you will see all the trucks that we were able to hunt down during our travels through California! Be sure to check out the Washington and Oregon previews as well! After this, you can expect full-length feature videos of each of the trucks we filmed on this trip to be uploaded about once a week over the next several months! As always, thank you, the viewers, for your views and support. And an extra huge thank you to all of the friendly drivers, workers, supervisors, and staff we met along the way! Without all of you guys, none of this would be possible!

Love the WM one pass!!!!!!!!!!! It is amazing my favorite truck by far!!!!
Can't wait to see the separate videos! Great job finding that old burgundy WM truck!
Being a garbage collector is the dream job I'm going to do someday
Damn saved the best for last! So many cool trucks, the CSL, old WM truck, old ass Amreps, etc. Can't wait to see the individual vids!
here in the UK we get mostly rear loaders for normal waste, front loaders often deal with large bins for commercial purposes, and we have a sort of side loader where they fill up a row of boxes on the side that the truck will all lift at once into the main body of the truck for glass recycling
THIS IS EPIC! That WMX OnePass was immaculate!!!! And Berkeleys automation is just something to laugh at! Great work! You are lucky you have time to travel and film, and not worry about work. Faved!
Great footage! Love all th EDCO trucks. And the Bridgeports were cool, but the best was last with the old burgandy WM truck. Plus it was on one pass routes. Awesome.
12:42 that lady and her son just walk'tright in to the way of the truck omg.lmfao
That Ez-Pack was super rad, that body + that sound brought back a lot of memories for me! Well darn, I fail lol. I was just going with the information I had to go on lol. Everything we filmed has been represented in this series. I think all but 6 trucks will have full length videos. And unfortunately, neither of the Oceanside drivers let us film. All I got was that one WXLL/Amrep clip and that across the street Labrie shot. Amrep driver just gestured to stop recording. (cont...)
Some crazy fast trucks in there... didnt realize CSLs could be that fast.
2:15 Wow a split body front loader, never would of thought. Great work on the videos, It's nice to see how my fellow garbage men get it done across the country. I still think I would be faster in my old 2002 condor auto-reach... lol.
great video excellent post
nice video thanks
Nice video. Also great job making clips in Oakland and Berkeley.
I recognise more of the haulers in this video. Pretty neat unit at 7:23, haven't seen many of those Heil bodies, also what's the fan for in the following clip? Love the commercial trucks like the one at 13:50, always entertaining watching the big steel bins emptied by an SL. Sweet watching the two split Kann FLs; with all th revving, are the packer running constantly? Great stuff again, enjoyed it all! Btw cool intro you had for the 3 parts, neat with the highway traffic.
Edco trucks were the outlying areas of Oceanside that aren't within city limits. WM only does inside city limits. Thanks again for all the kind words!
But the Labrie driver actually stopped, told us we were breaking the law, and then proceeded to take pictures of us and place an extremely lengthy phone call to the supervisor. At which time we got fed up and left.
holy fuck, that Bakersfield BP sounded decent! jesus, does Berkeley have enough lights on their Heil (M/ASL?)? and nicely decorated carts lol damn, those WM Wittkes are fast coming down, gonna rip some lids off! now is it just me, or will that onepass video get some attention?
I loved the kann in oakland, reminds me of the ones i saw every week in san leandro for green waste and trash pickup. Only 7 years ago, the got rid of all of them and replaced them with ZR's :/
2:02 Hey Amtrak! Get your own video! We don't need your K5LA horns intruding on good sanitation work!
Why was there no newbaury park
can you do an east coast one?
what company makes the truck at 7:20?
No, it's legal to take photos or videos of anything on public property, such as public roads. The driver was just being a prick.
Awesome job! Can't wait to see the full vids! Are you going in order from Washington to oregon the to Cali or no particular Order. Mind checking out some of my vids, it would be greatly appreciated!
We
???????? Y ???????? !!!
So is that seriously the law up in the states? You can't actually legally take videos in public? Really sucks that does; just bad luck coming across the drivers who are not so easy going.
