    Thanks Mike! That was the simplest video I have made thus far! There was no background narration or music, so I just trimmed each clip, and it seemed to just work. Glad you like the hack for locating center.

    Great video I just bought this kit for my ladder and installed it today. I like your trick about finding center, but it didn't work too well for me with a tape measure. I just centered the bracket to the silver brace shown at 5:18 and put 3 lines on each side where the spacers are. This just allowed me to realign everything as I moved down. Then slid it up to my 5 7/16" mark, 4 1/2, and then the last 4 1/2 mark. I checked all my holes like you did. I then used a marker and filled in the circles so I knew exactly where to drill. I would say the hardest part was trying to fit a small wrench in behind the strut for the rung like you said. I also had to run out to get the 11/32 drill bit. I torqued the bolts down to 108 inch pounds. Thank you so much I am more than pleased how it turned out! And these work great! You helped me out alot and I want to thank you for the video. Well done!

    @@themostlymikeshow2582 it’s hard to understand why ladders don’t come with this feature already. How often do you encounter completely level ground?

    @@jeffskingley6042 not very often. Depending on how high the ladder is, even the slightest variation or soft spot will take the ladder significantly out of plumb.

    Thanks for the well done and helpful video. I have a couple of opinion questions. Do you feel that the 3/16 increments are fine enough to cause the ladder to be plumb 24 ft up? Do you think that it is a better design than the auto adjusting Werner model or the orange silicon round foot and rod design? Is the weight an issue (10#?)?

  • @themostlymikeshow2582

    @themostlymikeshow2582

    Thanks for watching Larry. In my opinion, the adjustment seems adequate for my needs. I am not sure if there's any other options that go finer. I just bought this model because I needed it for a project at the time, and it was available at a local Home Depot. It's weight hasn't been cumbersome, if that's what you are asking. I don't know its exact weight. You asked about the auto adjusting Werner and the silicon round foot and rod designs. I am not familiar with those. Levelok has expressed interest recently when they viewed this video, and sent me a ladder dolly to review, so that should be coming out soon. I hope that this helps.

    I believe that they are approved by OSHA , but I don't know that for sure. I can't personally see any reason that these wouldn't make the ladder safer. It's built pretty solid with retaining pins and locks. I hope that this helps.

    I agree Sirtrino. I am certain that the engineers at these ladder companies have done their homework to ascertain that these couple holes will not weaken the ladder. I believe that they make the latter much safer without wooden blocks under one side or holes. Plus they save a lot of time.
