Werden Siren P-127 | Full Alert | Englewood, OH | 7/5/21
Ғылым және технология
Located at the pumping station near the end of Sonora Ct. in the Northcreek subdivision (this is the one that can be seen off I-70). This siren along with another P-127 behind the Government Center/Fire Station 98 were installed sometime during the spring of 2006. Sirens in Englewood are typically tested on the 1st Monday of every month at noon, weather-permitting. Englewood has 3 P-127s, a Sentry 5V, and around 4 Federal Signal 2001-130s (along with an older Federal omni which may or may not be active).
Since most places weren't going to test due to Independence Day observed, I decided to go to Englewood on the First Monday with some friends. This was my first time ever hearing a P-127, and I have to say, this siren was extremely loud and vibrated the ground when it pointed directly at us. The sound level was comparable to the Werden Electric B-115 I saw in Casstown.
Compared to its ASC counterpart, it was much louder than any RM-127 I have ever heard and honestly blows every single one of those out of the water. Mikey (mn_sirens) and Chris A. (SirenDude1003) drove down from Illinois to meet myself, August (CVG1000T), and Jeremy (SuperSirex127) at this siren. Dominic and Benicio (Central Ohio Sirens) were over recording the P-127 at the government center across town; we met up with them for ice cream after the test. During the test, you may be able to hear the 2001-130 at the industrial park across I-70.
For those who are not aware, the P-127 is essentially a rebranded P-15 that's manufactured by Werden Electric, a local electric company and siren dealer based out of the Cincinnati area.
It was a very fun day, and will be one of my more memorable siren tests for sure.

Nice video!
I’ve driven past this siren thousands of times. There’s another P 127 if you keep driving down the fire station you were talking about. How do u find out when these sirens were installed??
Nice! 👍

480V. It may also be hooked into the water pumping station’s generator for power outages but not sure about that.
is it just me or is it rotating fast then it slows down like in a pattern
