If I lived anywhere near Winning Strength, I would be training there. I have read everything I can get my hands on from Matt, going back decades. The amount of knowledge and wisdom he has is unmatched. Respect

It always comes back to me when people think of big bench presses. I think of Anthony Clark. May he rest in peace, a great man and had huge triceps because he used the reverse grip bench press and the first man ever to bench press 800 pounds.

@@jamesneil4981 💯 and the reverse grip pulls the shoulders back and tucks the elbows. I use the reverse grip to hit my triceps. Awesome movement.

Yep that’s the market 🎯🎯🎯 now see if the quality is there and it’s not even close - many have the measurements off which drastically reduces its potency

I've heard that if you have shorter arms it's more triceps and if you have longer arms, it's more pecs/delts, which makes sense.

The Swiss was the BEST! I always learn so much at the in person seminars. Wouldn't be progressing like I am without those seminars at Swiss and your gym 💪 100% worth the travel.

I watched a video where Matt says to go narrower, so i did. But i watched a max effort of his, and watched how he cheated his legs into a position by sliding up the bench to get the legs in right position, then pushiing against the bar backwards to force the body into that tight position. Also going straight up instead of doing the angle bench. I put on 30 pounds on my bench.

I bench press more weight with a wider grip but i dont always use this grip i train in three week waves if i would do 8 reps the next three weeks i would do 8 by 8 with pinkies on the ring 4 by 8 with ringvinger on the ring and one set of 8 with middelvinger on the ring i know how much you dislike wide grip bench press but most People wil bench more weight with a wider grip but you cannot only do wide bench every week thats why i train in three week waves

Are your modes of training more effecrive for weaker novicer for bench? Are their gains faster than other types? Bevause it works so well for advanced lifters

Yep when applied correctly- but fast gains are often a recipe for injury - burnout - etc
