In my opinion Wendy is one of the top singers in music nowadays. Not just in kpop! She really does truly know how to use her voice properly without straining it! And she is able to hit every note with clarity. And she does that both softly and loudly and with cresendo! Those are all signs of a few well trained vocalist! I just wish she would do a full English album! She knows English very well!

I beat you. I had an instant bias attack at first sight, which was literally 1 second and then she opener her mouth to sing l and I was a goner in less than 10 seconds. 7 years later and she still has that impact on me 🤣🤣🤣

She always seem to look like she's about to cry when talking about these songs and how she imagines herself talking to her fans. It makes me so emotional how she said "My goal is to enjoy singing like I did back then" in 1:38. It's like a wakeup call to me how hard she must've been through on recovering to be able to do what she loves most, singing.

But anyways, as a fan, it was so nice to see her grow her confidence again & show it off on stage in 2019 & so heartbreaking wondering what would happen & if she would keep singing or ever come back at all after the accident.... She came back and recorded her first solo album. Shows how strong of a person she is and I'm so proud of her. I liked kpop and a few song but I mainly like the idols cause they are funny , but I never really cared for music . It wasn’t until I met red velvet that I really understood how powerful music can be . I thank Wendy for that mainly because it was her voice that made me love music and now I can’t imagine my love without it . I listen to every song of red velvet because they are all so great songs and singers . They are the only artist that never fail to make me enjoy listening to there music.

I'd recommend Swan of Purple Kiss, she's a really talented main vocalist with a gorgeous husky voice. You absolutely need to see her cover of No Time To Die

Her voice is like on another level this days, a vocal Queen

You can see how much she loves music through this video. The number of notes taken, the number of times she repeats the same verse, the length of singing time without rest to perfect each and every song. She shines so brightly. I am rooting for here deeper and deeper now 💙💙💙

Me too.. I think it's natural or common to be a perfectionist for a top tier vocalist like her.. And I'm loving it. Most of sm artist are perfectionist though so I saw it.

Rosé is my bias too but honestly I think YG's technique ruined her voice or weakened it a lil. Her deep voice has much more potential sigh

I think in many cases its unfair to compare idols and say one is better than the other… But, Wendy is objectively a better singer than Rose and Rose’s my bias.

I love Rosé, but I wouldn't ever put her on a best vocalist list. There are way too many Korean singers with a far superior technique than hers. She sounds great though! I love her voice. Wendy is a stratosphere ahead of her as a vocalist though.

Wendy is a skilled singer! I need her to support her high belts more. She needs to open her mouth and drop her larynx a bit so she can have that full sound. She's an emotional singer, hearing her sing is an experience!

yes same, I want her to learn to be more open as well, if she could do that she'd reach a new level and truly be unstoppable. She has such potential, and the fact that she's this good despite that is pretty impressive, right now she's only supporting about 1.7 octaves and it's not even half her range. I'm looking forward to hearing more supported Eb5s, and supported F5s, and more Bb5s and C6s in head voice

Wendy knows what she is doing. She has excellent control of her voice. She doesn't need to support her high belts more when the high note in WTRS sounds that phenomenal already. Go tell your fav to open their mouths more and they still wouldn't sound as amazing as Wendy 🤣🤣🤣
