The case and piston are aluminum but at the heavy wear surfaces are steal. Like the piston sleave, piston rings, bearings, cam lobes and rockers, valves, etc… most of the internal parts are steel. So a magnetic dip stick is highly recommended. Just draining the oil won’t get all the glitter.

Most aluminum engines use steel internal parts as well as a steel cylinder sleeve, Having a magnet on the dipstick or drain plug is a great way to prolong the life of the engine.

That little Wen Gen is running balls to the wall wide open and it is loud and it WILL NOT LAST VERY LONG DOING THAT. Good luck to you guy. What you should have bought is a Wen 3800 with electric start. it would Be doing 1/2 the RPM and it would last far longer. That little generator it is taking a beating doing what you are doing to it.

I have same generator with a 2022 rockwood and 13,500 btu ac, mine wouldn’t kick on and overloaded every time. Am I missing something? I do have a continuous 12 volt fridge I dunno if that adds a lot of wattage. Curious if the fan on high then switch was the trick or not.

​@1realtruthrightnow742 When the generator is running, turn the lever to on. It let's air in to replace the gas being used. When the generator is off, turn the lever to off. Keeps the gasoline fumes from venting out

The old school way was break it in hard and it will drive hard. Not true. Built 50 motors, 20 dirt bike motors. Not true. Just what you said is best.

Thank you for the video, I was on the dense about buying this or a Honda Gen. While I love the Honda motors, the runtime is not long. There were complaints about the smoke and oil issues but that seems like they didn’t break it in. I am a Floridian, so I need a gen, I’m tired of the big gen that I barely use. So, break in is the key and the. Once per month. Is there any carb issues or drainage required and should I use a gas stabilizer? Thanks again.
