Wemby got the 5x5 game on the second night of a back to back after coming one assist short of doing it the previous game lmao😭. Crazy to see how significantly better he’s gotten better over each month this season he’s arguably a top 25-30 player in the league and this season is the worst he will ever be. We are witnessing a player not just live up to the crazy expectations but actually do better than those expectations Wemby is just insane.

Modern classic. So much new and old on display. AD and Wemby, shotblocking savants, fighting in the post. LeBron bringing the midrange and post up game straight from the 90's, yet Wemby is making highlight passes and 3 pointers, like the modern big man. High screens and rolls. Still a lot of 3 pointers. Beautiful game.

If he maintains his level of flexibility and mobility in his joints and builds lean but strong muscle on top of building his endurance to play 40 minutes a game, while continuing to improve on the little things in his game such as passing, and mid range shooting, he is going to be a top ten player of all time. I'm calling it right now. Bar injuries, he might be in the goat convo by the time his career is finished.

Wemby needs three things. First, he needs a bit more strength. If he can get stronger without losing speed and agility, whoah. Second, with time, he'll increase his understanding of the system he's playing in and the systems he's playing against. Third, with more matchups, he'll begin to understand the habits of his opponents, their quirks, and their weaknesses. In a couple years, he's going to be a real beast. If the Spurs can get the right players around him, they're going to be a real beast.

I think it’s inevitable that Wemby is getting a quadruple-double, question is the likelihood of him getting one this season. And also if he can get multiple 4x10s and 5x5s on a regular basis.

Honestly I’d say he’s top 20 rn. Yeah there’s other players that score more points but those players have no where near the defensive impact that wemby has. His ability to consistently score 20 and 10 while leading the league and blocks and stocks as a ROOKIE automatic makes him top 20

I don't say this condescendingly - you must not watch Spurs games, Zach Collins has been so horrible 99 out of 100 times he comes off the bench. I know it's not easy to play center after Wemby just got off the court, but man he is truly rough. Every time he gets the ball, I'm like "don't shoot, don't shoot, ahh he tried for a long three for some reason and airballed" 😂

would probably actually be the 5th or 6th player to score back to back 5 steal 5 block games, if the NBA would just count the stats they have from before the 70s when they didn't accept blocks as a stat. We literally know that Bill Russel and wilt Chamberlain and Nate Thurmond did this. NBA just didn't count those stats back then, even though they recorded them.

As a Pels fan, my hatred for Davis USED to burn like the intensity of 1000 white hot suns but now I just simply dont like they guy. But even at peak hatred, I always kept it 100: Davis and Curry were the best two player in the league when he was in NOLA and seeing him get constantly disrespected now is sad as a fan of hoops. This dude threw away his chance at being the GOAT just to feed the fake goat LeBum. Davis has absolutely no deficiencies in his game offensively or defensively and hearing people put Giannis above him is absolutely silly Davis is Wemby before Wemby. Davis was the first person ive ever seen guard the pick an roll by himself. But then he can drop 40+ in 5 straight ganes. Watching the best defensive duo in NBA history in Holiday and Davis every night was special. 😢 Then LeBUM stole Davis AND RONDO because he knew that Nola was on the cusp of becoming a perennial championship contender

I was at the game and Wemby was amazing. Thing is pop is old and has lost his touch. He sits him for far too long. It was a close game with and with 7 min left in the fourth pop still has him on the bench! All of the fans were like wtf is pop doing? He had 20 at the half and we all thought he was going for 35+. Nope, pop sat him in crucial moments and let the game get away. It's almost like he was tanking. Pop is wack now and doesn't know what to do anymore. That first quarter was special. It was my first time seeing Wemby, definitely won't be the last.
