I would kindly ask if you can make a video and inform everyone about the real problems of the DLP projectors regarding the DMD chips and the dead pixels issues. There's telecinic judder because it refreshes at 60Hz, and unfortunately there's no motion interpolation available.

Excellent Review. I have the xiaomi projector since Feb this year. I don't see any reason to switch to Wemax one. I'm looking forward to the 2019 xiaomi laser upgrade, hopefully with real 4K and a more silent fan. The fan is the only negative point of this projector for the moment.

The Wemax One Pro already uses a laser and has upgraded sound over the other model. The Wemax fan is a pretty quiet 32 db.

New true 4k version please do a review on that if you get the chance

It's not true 4k it's 4k pixel shift which is close, but no cigar.

Hi Vincent, I live in an apartment and currently have an older 1080p UST projector. I’d like to upgrade to 4k. I’m very interested in the Xgimi Lune 4k. The Xgimi is similar to the Xiaomi, except that it has true 4k (pixel shifting) and 100% DCI-P3. I am in the US and cannot return it if something is flawed. Have you heard of it? If so, Do you think you might review it? I love your reviews, you always think of the technical aspects that many you tubers are unaware of. Most importantly, your videos are funny and entertaining. Yes, both are native 1080P. The Wemax uses a LPD laser not DLP. Audio is also better on the Wemax One Pro with HD support for both DTS and Dolby and HK speakers if you want to still use the built-in speakers. I would not be surprise to find they are made in the same factory.

was confused with the lumens level, is it 7000 or 1688?

What does it mean when it says: "Resolution: Full HD ( 1920 x 1080 ) Support resolution: 4K" in the description? Does it mean that it does 1080p better but 4k still works? I'm a little confused by this. Thanks in advance if you can clear this up.

it means it can take 4k input signal.. but max output resolution is 1080p

SamuelLeroyJackson, same maker, so close in build except for a few little changes but major change from 5000 ansi lumens to 7000 on the wemax. If you try to buy one, be prepared to wait at least a month to get it.

david kennedy probably not. Most movies are streamed nowadays and streaming usually doesn’t work with frames. For dvd and bluray just turn of the „true 24p“ Option (or whatever it’s called) in your player and it should be fine as well.

Same, I'd also like to know what the refresh rate / frame rate is when linked up to a PC..

I have the V2 of the Xiaomi Mi, which is annoying as I want the V1! The V2 currently loses several features like 3D playback, which is annoying. The Google TV interface is nice but doesn't make up for the pain. Vincent, fancy a swap? Your V1 for my V2? Completely serious. As for cost, seems the Euro resellers on eBay are selling the V2 as the norm now so is around the £1299 mark. Cheaper than the Wemax.

The specs. for the wemax one says 7000 lumens and its 5000 lumens for Xiaomi Mi. Isn't it significactly brighter?

Not really, you would only notice it with the lights on. The Wemax will not wash out as easily.
