That world is losing its sting and he knows it. There may also be underlying issues with this neighbor who he is having to live with. And he wants to make sure it’s not washed under the rug as just more racism. You will never get rid of it. If you go to any country you will find native people who do not want outsiders there. It’s no different here except it’s from outsiders?? We r all outsiders here except for the native Americans. It’s just sad he had to experience this. I'd like to say Florida is awful but sadly this is everywhere in America. Despite the fact that mist black people do NOT live in the hood, are not thugs, pay taxes and obey the law, we are still viewed as ONE type of people. Even though it's clear to many that that is not the case. Therefore, I am left to believe that this is just a choice. To be racist. It's so sad. So very sad.

Generally, when people say, “I’ll be honest...” it means they are lying. HOWEVER, in this case, he is struggling to override his programming and training to give white people the benefit of the doubt and it’s hurtful for him. That’s why he had to watch the video so many times he’s looking for another reason for the man’s actions. It’s the end of the world as he has known it and he just woke up.

This man is very respectable... It called it out in more ways than one. In a language that those that need to hear it. Sometimes you have to know how to speak the language of the people you trying to reach. He is NOT acting off of emotions.. Which is hard for the majority of us.

Yea I'm sure they ran cause they knew they was probably in even more danger that's what those videos do to kids it wasn't right but can you blame them? I kinda think if the guys stayed it probably would have gotten worse.

SHANE BECKFORD - He may in fact be all those things, but he is also loquaciously PC to the point of being annoying. Seems to go out of his way-or certainly delay- calling a spade a spade. Speak succinctly-get to the point, and do so with conviction, You cannot always worry about how people (especially white people) receive it.

You notice how he showed the man thought the black girl was there visiting the white girls when it was actually the black girls home. Priceless!!!!

That was so humble. It's a workshop in tolerance, dignity and class. I found it very refreshing and hope many will also find it helpful to learn from. He is Respect himself in showing so much articulated control in his expression and demeanor. Great report. Thank you.

Wellington is a classy guy! He's not afraid. He's just trying to unpacked his situation and his experiences. If he knows one thing!!! He knows he is a black man. Are you serious? Calling a spade a spade doesn't make US racist, contrary to the gaslighters who claim it, and it certainly isn't the cause for the racism. That is something within those people that needs to be addressed/called out by one of their own. It's not enough to not be racist! You have to actively call it out when you see it!
