Wella BlondorPlex vs. Olaplex vs. Blondor: REVIEW

Ойын-сауық

Tia tried it and tells how it works vs olaplex vs blondor alone. Does it need the volume increase? Which gets better lift? Does it protect the same? Does it swell? Is it worth it? This review is in English.

Thank you for this video! You hit the nail on the head when you said there weren't any videos in English haha. Do you think blondorplex would benefit from having olaplex in it? I know other stylist friends of mine recommend using schowarzkopf blondme with olaplex, even though it already has a bonding system in the bleach like Olaplex, so I wondered if the same could be said about blondorplex.

I guess it's worth a try... I know people say that you can add way less olaplex to your formula without weakening your formula, but it still seems weaker to me. With blondorplex, it is so much stronger than blondor and I like that strength and would not want to chance weakening it. HOWEVER, after using blondorplex for several months now, I notice it doesn't keep the integrity of the hair quite as well as Olaplex in bleach. But, still way better than without it. So, maybe??? I may try some test strands and see :)

Wella spends crazy amount of money on resesarch and product development. When they finally put something on the market you know that it is going to PERFORM very well. The pH of Wellaplex doesn't contradict the pH of Blondor that's why you don't need to use stronger Welloxon.

I wonder what the two “plex” test strands would feel like after another regular shampoo and condition. The second step, or the stabilizing treatment, has a bunch of fatty acids and lipids added into it I’m guessing and that’s why the hair doesn’t look as frazzled and dry. I’m not totally sold on these bonders, bc I really only use them if I’m purposefully overlapping (which is rare). If the hair is so wrecked I wouldn’t have processed it before the existence of bonders, I still won’t process it now. And on fragile virgin hair or regrowth, I usually reach for a cream like Soft Blond or Joico Crème.

Ok, so I bleach at home and I was wondering, would using blondorplex without wellaplex no 2 be any better than using just normal blondor? I don't have a licence so I can't buy wellaplex no 2, but I still want to keep as much of my hair integrity as possible. Will using blondorplex without the wellaplex no 2 be any better for my hair than normal blondor? Or does it only work with the added no 2

YAY i don't like how Blondor is so thick. I thin it with liquid developer. Thinner is better for hair penetration. I am so TICKED Matrix discontinued my Lift and Tone i can use with heat. Most of my clients lift in 15 minutes with heat and its going to blow up my booked schedule. Thanks for this video.

This is exactly what I wanted to see. I can't thank you enough for this video. 😍❤️😊 So if I have to do blond my hair using blonder plex at home, all I got to do is blond it with a 40 vol developer and I get lighter and lesser damaged hair. I am trying to get least damaged hair but need to lighten my hair to get teal hair. Please advise Thank you ❤️🙂

Yes, but you must finish with the No.2 bond stabilizer after you rinse...AND I would not recommend lightening at home. Lots can still go wrong. You can still get damage and breakage. If you have compromised hair you should not lighten it.

Oh thanks!!! 🙌🏻 Can I use blondorplex with olaplex 2? (Because I've both at this moment, but I don't have wellaplex 2) Or maybe, can I use both olaplex (1 y 2) with blondorplex anyway? Thank you so much from Spain!!

I haven't tried that. But The Wellaplex #2 is really just a low pH rinse. I don't always use it after Blondorplex if I haven't lifted very high. Still great results with no compromised integrity.

I actually let the test strands sit for an hour since they are extensions and won't lift like virgin hair will.

You no longer need to bump up developer when using olaplex. They changed the amount of no. 1 you add to lightener several years ago.

The next step in the process is No.2 for after your rinse. It is the bond stabilizer... No.1 is what goes in your lightener.
