Been there.... Changed out the string/cables on a prime and had to remove the stops to press it. Went to the back yard to start shooting and realized it immediately upon hitting full draw. With no one around, I held the bow at full draw, walked back to the garage, opened the garage door back up with my release hand (thank goodness I shoot a wrist strap), and gingerly set it back down into the press. Bit of a stressful situation lol

I've seen a bow exploding after cam overturn - changed draw lengh on the modules but not on limb stopper, so it went past the spot and after the shot string went limp for a second like on this bow but after that bow just exploded suddenly. No permanent damage to the bow but string needed to be replaced. After replacing the string and setting bow correctly it was shooting fine.

  • @flip66five

Compared to regular compounds they do run slower... Mostly because the power stroke is much shorter.. Im just whipping theoretical memory numbers here but the 18"ata only draws to like 25" or so and you need a purpose designed release to use it(its longer infront of the trigger) add to that a longer brace height and you just dont get the same velocity... Shooting in thick cover, or a small blind though, its right in its element.. They do make longer ata ones that are faster though
