I need to make myself some of these. No more hot fingers from holding parts in alignment. I love it.
I never realized how handy these were til I made one and used it once. Now cant live without them.
Very good detail to put copper in the tip that makes contact with the piece to weld, thank you very much for sharing. Hugs from Argentina!

Nice video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have Myasthenia Gravis and this will help me when I'm weak. I won't have to hold and risk hot fingers. cheers

You could put the round bar into a drill chuck to turn the rod for you and get a good even point!

I'm not a metal guy so...Why the copper tips? So they don't fuse to pieces your welding or do they grip better since the metal is softer? Thanks, I like your videos.👍

Yes, they don't stick if they catch an arc!
I can see how those would be handy gadgets,, I notice you use inches and mm, is that typical in your country, I know we have to have both SAE and Metric tools here for the last several years.

MissouriOldTimer, just a hangover from my youth, I started my schooling on imperial and halfway through they changed to metric so I grew up learning both!

HUCK stir cool but wont work with exotic metals such as stainless steel and aluminum... third hand is handy.
There is something call GRASS HOPPER IN THE MARKET, COST $12_20. Professionally made with more functionality. It has clips and grounding. By STRONG HAND tool. Has VIDEO too. Why make it, unless n i thing t o do?

Harry Wong they are $30 online plus another $25 to ship to thus country, $55 for something that cost me nothing but a few minutes welding. It's a no brainier!

Peter, yes I watched it a while ago when you mentioned it to me. I found the sound a little difficult to hear being half deaf and suffering with tinnitus! I think one or two of your meanings might be a bit tenuous but most people wouldn't know. Quite entertaining.
really??????😟
