Everyone is invited to enjoy our serene, sandy beaches and gorgeous lakeside views at not just one, but four lakes, for an authentic Michigan experience during your next getaway.
Our resort opens its doors in mid-April and welcomes you through the end of October. We offer full hookup RV sites as well as spacious water and electric sites. Take your stay to another level when you book one of our prime waterfront sites with beautiful views of the lake. Each site includes a picnic table to gather with friends and family, plus a fire pit that’s perfect for roasting marshmallows at the end of a full-filled day.
When you stay at Sun Outdoors Kensington Valley, comfort, convenience, and fun is always a top priority. That’s why we offer top-notch amenities so you can truly enjoy your stay. We have four spacious comfort stations that provide clean restrooms and showers. In our recreation hall, you’ll find our general store where you can purchase a variety of snacks and supplies. Head to the basketball court to break a sweat or enjoy a game of volleyball at the beach. If you bring your furry friend along, they can run and stretch their legs in areas designated just for them.
Kick back and relax at one of the four beaches located throughout our resort. In between building sandcastles, you can swim, fish, or even boat. Kids have access to play areas sprinkled throughout the grounds with two larger playgrounds located near our welcome center. There’s also a nearby nature trail that’s perfect for walking, biking, or hiking. To explore the grounds even further, rent a golf cart for the day at our welcome center.
If you’re feeling extra adventurous, visit Kensington Metro Park which surrounds Kent Lake. You’ll find miles of nature trails, beaches, and even a golf course. Head to downtown New Hudson to experience the New Hudson Inn, Michigan’s oldest restaurant. You can nosh on signature burgers and sandwiches while enjoying live music. Down the street is Whole Hearted Winery, where you can sip your way through a flight of wines or sample beer and cider on tap. While you’re there, enjoy some weekly live music performances or check out their calendar for monthly comedy shows.
Our proximity to major freeways gives you easy access to explore other attractions in Southeast Michigan. Head to Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi for a day of shopping or visit the Detroit Zoo where you can get up close and personal with animals from all over the world. The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and Greenfield Village in Dearborn lets you take a step back in time and soak in 300 years of history.
