Welcome to The Sunken Garden
The Sunken Garden is one of fifteen rooms in my garden. This is a white garden and here in spring there are hundreds of tulips and daffodils. Not only in white but also in creamy and soft yellow tones.
All plants are grown in containers.
My name is Claus Dalby, and I live in Risskov on the outskirts of Aarhus in Denmark. To date, I have written about 30 books on flowers and gardens in Danish, and my garden has been featured on many TV shows. In March 2022 my first book in English will be available. I consider my home (built in1908), and its garden with its neighboring wood, as my sanctuary. When I started gardening in 1996, there was just a large lawn covering approximately 1 acre (4,000 square meters), but today the grass is long gone - replaced by 15 hedged rooms with varying colors and moods. Additionally, one of my great passions is growing in pots, arranged to create spectacular container gardens, which I will share quite a bit about on this channel. Decor and creating moods have always interested me - both outside and inside - and I love to use the flowers from my garden for bouquets and to inspire other crafts that create a sense of hygge.

I don’t believe that anyone can express themselves any better than what you stated. His gardens is beyond awesome.
If I had your garden, I would never leave it... it would be the alternative to a tropical island. Just relax and soak in the beauty.
If anyone was deserving of having a flower/tulip named after him, I should be you. You have done so much to promote Garden Design and Horticultural Education. You must be so proud. As always, your sunken garden is sheer perfection. What a treat for your followers!

In the context of being overlooked by a sea of dark green forest foliage it's perhaps not a surprise that your attracted to lots of pops of lime green!

You can also use this in the flower garden to showcase those climbing beauties and it requires very few materials and just a little time to build.

I love the sunken garden Claus. The tulips and daffodils are magnificent. I also love the trees and shrubs with the lime green foliage. Two of our favorite Japanese Maples in our garden with lime green foliage are The Full Moon and The Coral Bark Japanese Maples💛🤍💛

Wonderful display of colours and flowers, again! I love the tulip that is named after you, Claus. Did some searching last year to see if I could buy some... no luck I'm afraid. But as you showed the tulip in the video, I recognised the flower on my wallpaper, 4x3 meter! If I ever find some bulbs I will buy and plant them. For now I have a fantastic view all year round. Thank you for the video💚

Mr Claus , could you maybe make a video like you did with dahlias but with tulips , what do you do after they die back ? You cut the greens ? When do you plant them in your garden again ?
