    @@rcvillapando To be fair though, both guys did have to take almost a decade off from wrestling due to injuries. So they do have less wear and tear than someone like Jericho who's in his 50's and never had to stop wrestling for several years.

    ​@@kbottrill1well that's due to a difference in styles, Jericho wrestled a more technical style compared to Edge & Christian who wrestled a more extreme style in the beginning of their careers and later on in their careers and it caught up to them

    This is one of the many reasons why I love and respect Adam and Christian, they never just automatically do something. They're going to bait this for some time, making the fans drool and urge for them to team again. A handful of years ago, I thought I'd never see them wrestle ever again. and here they are showing the world why they are so damn treasured in the wrestling industry. This is priceless!!!

    It gives me chills knowing that in my lifetime I witnessed both Adam and Christian as rookie mid carders in the attitude Era turned into one of the greatest tag teams ever, to holding their own as single competitors and becoming champions and on to being living LEGENDS! Wow...

    I honestly just want to say how brilliant I thought this whole segment was. The whole history between them, Adams comments about Sting, the way he was getting riled about sting, the use of Christians real name to really hit home this is deeper than wrestling. The fans were amazing throughout and then Christian once again proving why he’s such an incredible heel with just one killer line. This honestly, to me, was just gorgeous

    It’s funny how Adam spoke about Sting making people feel. It was obvious the Christian swerve was coming after the hug but when he said ‘Go F Yourself,’ I felt it! Great heel work and storytelling from both.

    This is especially impactful when you realize that both men thought--with good reason--that their careers were over. When Edge retired in 2011 and Christian retired in 2014, they had to believe that that was it--there was no way the two of them would ever work together in the ring again. And nine years later, here they both are. I can't even begin to imagine what that must mean to them, and what it must feel like.

    I don't follow wrestling anymore. I saw this announcement on my feed, and I had to see it for myself. The attitude era, the ruthless aggression era are what I grew up with, and all I felt was a wave of nostalgia. My wife and I sat watching this with zero context, and had smiles across our faces, cheering at this goofy thing. Thanks, guys. You have no idea how much this meant to us, just to have some fun.

    And that is saying something if u think about it! Because his run as a singles heel back around 2005ish when he started wearing the cool jump suits and first had the new cool ass theme music. He had tomko and had a pretty good feud with Cena. Those few years was what really established him as a main event star. But u may be right this run in aew as a heel could even be a bit better than that run. Christian is, has and prob always will be severely underated. He is head and shoulders above almost anyone he steps into the ring with in every category.

    I love how Adam added just the right touches of inside life of them being such close friends. Especially the poster at the barbershop so Christian could have his hair cut the same as Sting. 😂😂. Classic storytelling.

    Honestly, one of the most emotional promos I have ever seen in 25+ years of following wrestling. Adam genuinely emotional and enthusiastic of being in AEW, a heartfelt speech, Christian on the verge of tears but so incredibly focused to stay in character, the ending, the off-screen spears. Cannot wait to see how all this unfolds.

    Adam bringing up what happened to him by judgment Day was a great tip of the cap. Christian also knows he's always been considered the second guy in their tag team. He wants to be the leader.

    I liked that too. That's one thing about AEW that I've always liked. They'll talk about what happened to someone in another company if it adds to the story. Love that!

    @@newerest1 given most of the AEW roster are made up of young upstarts, point taken. But I think there’ll be a fair deal of receipts being handed out, though. I’m personally not too worried about it. Edge still has another 20 years left, I’m sure.

    I love that Excalibur explained the story of Adam and Christian for the younger fans. We need MORE of that in wrestling. Not everyone knows the complete history of pro wrestling, lets clue in the new viewers and welcome them with open arms

    @@michaelhauser6440 What don't they explain? Literally every old school feud they pick up from ages ago is fully explained before getting to it. Like, no one would've cared about Eddie v Claudio if the entire history between the two wasn't shared over multiple promos and vignettes.

    I really think this is the best version of Christian, and would be half disappointed to see him drop the title to Adam. Unless dropping it to Bryan would help his character save more face, since let's face it, very few people are gonna lose to Bryan within the next year.
