I LOVE how they make the characters faces not perfectly symmetrical, with very clear one eye tilted lower and one eyebrow angled slightly higher!!! It makes them so much more realistic and human-like than most games

The fact that in my first few hours I have not come across any glitches is amazing. Lately many games have so many glitches when they release, they are almost unplayable at first. It's refreshing to get a polished game from the start.

Wanted to watch someone play thru this game cuz I don't have time to do it myself and I found you. Feeling the wholesome vibes. I'm sure you get it all figured out, but it was kinda funny how much money and how many medkits you passed up while you were talking about needing to look at everything so you don't miss anything 😂 I feel like 3rd person usually makes it easier for me to see everything, for what it's worth. Im honestly overwhelmed my whole feed for past 19mins has been Starfield

I gotta say, I love this playthrough and I'm only like 4 minutes into the video. My liking the video doesn't even have anything to do with the game itself. But, the energy she's giving off. Giving us her back story with Bethesda RPGs, seeing how excited she was when the Starfield logo popped up. Like...that's ME. I absolutely love Fallout and Elder Scrolls, so when I booted up Starfield the SECOND it released on the 6th, I was immediately losing my mind. I purposely avoided every piece of info about the game, every video, every bit of news, every rumor or leak. I didn't want to be spoiled. I didn't wanna know ANYTHING when I finally went in. All I knew was that it was "Fallout 4 in Space" or "Skyrim in Space", and that was enough to hype me up. I, too, was super excited and emotional when that Bethesda Game Studios text popped up. Now, I'm sitting here with about 30-35 hours on my current save, I'm level 15, and have barely even TOUCHED the surface of this game. There is SO much to do. So many planets, towns, cities, smaller bases, outposts, caves, whatever else. And there's so many QUESTS too. Like, I'll be walking through a city, and just overhear an NPC conversation that ends up giving me a side quest. Even places I've been to dozens of times already, I still occasionally get a new side quest from them. The quests themselves are also SO much more well written and acted compared to the previous Bethesda RPGs. Like, not quite CDPR level, but pretty damn close. Each quest, even the tiny side quests, have their own little back story and stuff. 30-35 hours in, and I'm not even close to bored yet.

Love your energy 👌 I played solidly on release. I abruptly stopped a few months ago. Having lost my job I had to rebuild soooo... watching this vid has made me want to renew my love of Starfield, so thank you 🙏 New start, new base traveller, new lease on "life" Cheers Miranda 😘

Hey there, i wanted to wait until i was at least a few hours into the game myself before i watched your playthrough but now that i am, i have to watch yours, im loving it so far and i know you will too. Your joy is infectious and you always bring a smile to my face. So onward, into the great field of stars.

I am so late to this party, but will be catching up to more current playthroughs. I'm so glad you said that comment about some of the alert music. There are definitely FO4 undertones and even some background music that sounds like it's been sampled from some of the background music in FO4. Loving this start and can't wait to catch up.

I promised I was going to watch you play this when you got it and I’m keeping it! Lol so glad you got it. I been playing it since August 31st and I made a Bounty Hunter with Alien DNA, Empath and Hero Worshipped. I have 104 hours of game time logged in.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one getting emotional vibbles on those rare occations that you get to experience a new Bethesda game.

I was really happy to see those 'scary' eyes. Since I've known the wanted perk, that makes you being hunted by mercs, I hoped you could have a Riddick-like playthrogh and character. with the perk AND those eyes being pretty much one to one Riddick references, the likelyhood of Bethesda thinking about and having ncluded that is high I hope :D

I LOVE TALKING ABOUT THIS okay my first character was a pink haired lady named Newt with a cyber runner background. she was an introvert with an adoring fan and she was from Neon!! my second is a girl named Leanna with short green hair, purple eyebrows (and an eyebrow slit), tattoos, scars, septum, eyeliner, the whole 9 yards. she was a soldier whos an extrovert, has loving parents and was raised enlightened. both of my characters hold such a special place in my heart

New Mirandalorian viewer here and I just love how into this she is. I'll be watching more of her videos for sure! I felt like I wouldn't be any good at Starfield because there's no V.A.T.S. but with VASCO and how Miranda said she thought she'd be bad at combat but loves it, I feel like maybe I can play after all. Also seeing that there's easy like 'auto placement' modes for the complex things is reassuring too. :)

I just "finished" the game an hour ago and legit dropped a tear. Wow what a game. First time on a Bethesda game tho. The " is because and didn't finished all the side quest at all. Just the main story.

Tell me you're a Bethesda game player without telling me you're a Bethesda game player. Miranda: First 15 seconds into the opening gameplay, does not follow Lin and Heller, starts looking around for lootables. 😂❤

Good tip for you and anyone reading. You don’t have to hot key your mining laser. If you open your scanner and just press right trigger it’ll draw your scanner for you! Also, holding left trigger with your cutter equipped will charge the laser (you’ll see the cross hair go inwards), fully charging it will mine the ores almost insanely! This also allows it to do more damage to enemies but drains its energy much quicker

i really do like the quality of this game a lot, the robot is wholesome showing mirandas character around

Apologies for the incoming wall of text! Hi Miranda! Great video, love to see all your reactions to all the new things you're discovering. This game definitely gives you a sense of wonder sometimes and it's great. Seeing how you reacted to New Atlantis for the first time made me think back to the first time I played Cyberpunk 2077, and just walking around Night City and thinking to myself how alive and real it felt at times. I know Cyberpunk had a rough launch, but I think after 3 years the game is in a much, much better place and with the new DLC coming out 'Phantom Liberty', I think it would be a great game to jump into after you finish Starfield. I think you and many of your viewers would love to see your reaction to it! You said you love discovering characters, new stories and getting emotionally invested I think Cyberpunk would be a real treat, because much like Starfield, it can be very immersive at times. It was one of the more emotional games I've ever played and it felt very real at times. In addition, the 'real-time' cutscenes never take agency away from you and adds to that whole immersion factor.

I didn't know you were a big Skyrim player, as I am (>2000 hours). I understand how long the wait for Starfield has been and how eager the anticipation for that first experience of it must be. I just emerged from 2 days of Starfield, I have played waaay too much 😳🤤 I have 25 hours played, and it feels like I've barely graced the surface. I love it 🥰 I went with an "Industrialist" as starter. With Empath and UC Native as my traits. So far, sooooo good! Also, you can exit the "Holotapes" and it will continue playing the tape. Keep at least one Laser (energy) weapon, you'll notice why eventually 😅 Awesome to see you posting such long episode, long may it continue ❤👊

In regards to the long hair not being a thing many games have: it's hard to work with. Long hair that goes past the shoulder can cause a lot of complications with clipping. A character with long hair turns their head and the hair goes through their body or clips through their clothes. Its just easier to work with short to medium hair. The only solution is to add collisions to the hair but the physics required is very performance heavy. You'd lose maybe 10 to 15 frames per second just to have long hair that doesn't clip through the character or their clothes. One day with better hardware it will be a thing. For now it will be left for modders to do.

Game is definitely overwhelming at first but its great the further you go, ship building and boarding in order to steal ships is so much fun.

It's quite a game isn't it? Couple of tips that I figured out in the first few hours that might be more help to your viewers since you've probably been playing for a while by the time the video is posted. You only get a certain percentage of scan from each plant or animal. You have to scan multiple specimens of each type to get a full scan. Early in the game you don't know what's needed later and what's just junk so you do pick up A LOT. Vasco can carry stuff for you. (just like companions in most Bethesda games) Credit chips are the little green things that look like a chain link. (an oval about 4" long with a hole in each end) Watch for those. The flashlight gives a lot of glare and probably makes you easier to spot by enemies. You might want it off unless you need it. (the scanner will highlight stuff in a dark room for you) In ship combat you want to use the lasers to take out enemy shields (the upper bar) and once they're down, use ballistics or missles to damage the hull. (the lower bar) The speed setting will affect turn rate. If you have a lot of power in engines and your top speed is 100, it'll turn fastest at 50. (half speed) If you have less power to engines and your top speed is 50, it'll turn fastest at 25. (half speed again) It doesn't seem to care what full speed is, but half throttle is always fastest turning. There's a lot in the game that's not explained. You'll just have to figure it out but experience with previous Bethesda games helps. I'm about 5 or 6 hours in and have just scratched the surface but hopefully the few things I've figured out will help some others.

You starting to cry when the game loaded up was so cute and wholesome, as a gamer I would love a girl that cries when a new game comes out as opposed to a girl that gets mad when you want to sit down and play a game after a long day of work 😂 you’re awesome, new subscriber here for sure

So I'm 2 weeks late, but here's my character's backstory: Having grown up in the streets of Neon[Neon Street Rat], Aiyana wasn't afforded many opportunities however one came along that wasn't to be refused. She volunteered for an experimental procedure that spliced alien DNA[as name sake] but the group turned out to be a shady corporation that weaponized people as assassins. At one point the program was to be shut down and all agents terminated, few of us managed to escape and went into hiding - some still employing their skills as trade for passage, or room and board, food, etc. [Ronin] until finally Aiyana laid low with the Argos Extractors mining company. After the incident with the Artifact, she comes to find out that a bounty had been placed on her and all remaining agents [Wanted].. a way for her former employers to finish the job. Looks like she'll have to take up the blade once again. 😏
