I played this on TTS and am interested in my first roll and write for purchase. Which did you guys prefer, Welcome To or Railroad Ink?

That was so fun. I've never played a board game along with people in this way. I had 100 points. I've had Welcome To... for months, but haven't had anyone want to try it yet, so this was a good way to learn it.

First time paying and I have scored 70 loved this please do welcome to the moon next! thank you for the game!

My first time playing was with this video! I scored 51. I was begging Naveen not to end the game. LOL!

Played along with you guys - I've never played and haven't seen any other "how to play" videos other than this one. I was happy enough with my 60 for a first timer!

As it is in the rulebook, when evaluating the estates for a plan you can draw a line ABOVE those houses (there is a white line above all houses) which are used for the plan

I didn’t feel like I was doing too well and honestly thought you were both gonna smoke me, but ended up with 91.

Man i was so tense playing this and thought I was gonna lose, turns out I managed to get 88 points! I totally relied on using the real estate market to boost the value of my 5 estates, and if the game hadn’t ended I might’ve been able to build all three city cards too! Super great fun, thanks for a blast

That was so fun!! Such a great way to ease myself into playing the game for the first time. It's been on my shelf for a month or two and I'm so glad I finally got a play in. I was able to reach goal No.3 just a bit before Monique which left me at 82 and her score went to 78, I think. We'll catch you next time, Naveen! Thank you. I used the digital scoresheet. I did finish the 3rd objective before you, and ended up with 78. But, if you deducted 6 from your score(for coming in 2nd on that task), it would be another tie. Haha. Again, thank you. Great game. Very clear and a good pace. I only had one house empty.

My final score was 72 (first to get the highest scoring plan and highest temp worker uses). Bringing the final score to Monique 81, Devine 77, myself 72.

Nooo why did he have to end it 😅 that was close, I had 83! So funny! Never played before, I paused and drew all the stuff on a piece of paper lol. Monique had 78 for me bc I got to an objective first, but this was sooo much fun! Thanks a lot!

1st time playing this game. good explanation of the game and fun to get play along. only got 70 points. it was a really fun game, will get it for my collection.

Had Monique taken the fence and made a 3 house estate as that last, she would have won. She was going to get the 7 points regardless. So taking the road block only gave -3 to Naveen (or basically +3 relative). But taking the extra 3 estate would have been +6, with the larger net gain. Great play through though. Just as good as all of your games! Love watching you guys play! Also, I prefer the term Flip and Fill as it preserves the alliteration of Roll and Write. :-)

LOL yeah i blew it! I was trying to figure out the math in the moment and ended up being totally wrong. Such a brain fart. Flip and Fill sounds great! Thanks!

@@BeforeYouPlay nah, sometimes it is hard to calculate, especially when the options include both you getting points and your opponents losing points while you get points. You did great. 😁 And it was still a joy to watch. I love Welcome To ...

You two are hilarious. Definitely makes me want this game.. wish I could have played along. Maybe add a link (the one Naveen referred) to the printable sheet so people who don't have the game can print and play along. Also, you should do more of these play alongs!

Just got this, had welcome to the moon before. Scored 67 points, Naveen ended it too soon!! :-) Thank`s for your vids.

This was my first play of Welcome To. I finished the No. 3 plan first, but then only got the No. 1 plan (third, I think). I finished with 70 points and I think Monique's score would've gone down to a 78 because she finished the No. 3 plan second. (Sorry, Monique!) Anyway, I know this is an old video, but it was still good fun and now I know how to play the game. Thanks, guys!

Played along. You both beat me, but Monique won in my game. Thanks for the play and I hope you. An find some more of these to do a play along. Maybe So Clover 🍀? Just setting up with your boards and we could guess along with the other player. Or Isle of Cats Draw and Write.

Yes, I've played it and I enjoy it a lot. I have mixed feelings about the sequel, Welcome to New Vegas. It is considerably more complicated and in my opinion, unbalanced, but you may give it a try, if you want. Another roll-and-write game that is easy to play with a lot of people is Rainer Knizia's Decathlon. It does take somewhat longer, as you have 10 events to go through, essentially 10 mini games in one. Yet, I love how thematic the mechanics of the game is, so I'd be happy to see you playing. It is freely available online right now, so another incentive to show how it plays :)

Ooooh we will look for Decathlon! Thanks for that recommendation! We haven't tried the Las Vegas sequel but we will definitely try it. Unbalanced games are pretty frustrating!

We absolutely love this game. We did come across a question that didn't seem to be clear to our group. Since the effects are optional, do you ONLY mark off a temp agency WHEN you choose to manipulate the number up/down 1 or 2 from the original number? Meaning, if the number flipped is 5 and you use 5, you can not mark off the temp because you didn't use the effect of manipulating the number? In watching you guys play, you marked it off. For example, the 6 with the roadblock you marked even though you didn't use the effect to manipulate the 6. We've also emailed the company to ask for clarification.

So fun! I just did my first playthrough while watching this and ended up scoring a 96! --- three 5 house estates at 10 pts each and 26 points from the pools

Just got my copy and played along with y'all! I scored 95. I had four 5 house estates at 10 points each. So fun!

Thank you for posting this play through. I’m convinced and ready to buy my own copy, now! I tied with 84 points! I only had 6 barricade temps, so I didn’t know how to score that. My nephew/streaming buddy is also named Dexter!

First game, got a 68. Almost lost due to permits, glad Naveen ended it when he did.

You guys definitely cheated, lol This was my first time playing/watching this, very fun :D I only got 75. Thanks for all the great vids!!

It was a good choice that he ended the game when he did if he thought he was ahead by points. I would’ve likely scored an 89 if he had not done that.

Such a fun game! I got 80 but did get n3 before Monique so I think that would take her score to 78

Great game, well played. Must be nice to have player aids... My version didn't come with them..😪

Actually Monique mistakenly calculated 15 on 3 house estates instead of 18. So she won by 2 points in the 2 player game between you two. Unfortunately she came last in the 3 player game between you two and me because I finished no.3 before her. I got 84, coming second :)

He kept saying he needed a 10 park.. but it was fenced off on both sides lol. It could literally be any number park right? Lol.

Ufff.. this really sounds complicated. I may have to watch the rules teach two more times.

Thanks so much. That was way fun.... Oh shoot, it wasn't super clear that you only choose one house number to write. I did all three out of the gate, 5, 8, and 9. Oh well. :) I skipped the next two to make up for my mistake, and only claimed one special effect. Total 86. Not bad for a newbie.
