I saw the Kinetic Manifesto video first also. I do love both. The other video is more a story video that goes with the lyrics. Like Connie said, watch the explanation video for the story line video and it'll make more sense. 😄

You will realize how much better is the official mv than the manifesto film and more appropriate for the message of the song. It captures the essence of it way better and in spirit with the theme of the whole album itself. Also the dance break in my opinion is way more powerful in the mv.

On their channel Bangtantv, there's a short documentary for this song with the UCLA band and backing vocal choir who did this song and EGO. JK got his tattoos during their break in late 2019 and had to cover them even on their vacation show. Once the news and shock died down, people got used to it and now even Jimin can show his tattoos freely (unless they're on korean tv).

I was thinking the same thing. It would be so wonderful if you watched the documentary on how the different layers of the song came to be. It would be nice if you could watch some their dance practice videos for On. All of them gave me a new appreciation for different aspects of their music and mvs.

Tattoos are still somewhat taboo in S. Korea, but it is becoming more acceptable. JK has a full sleeve on his right arm and ink on his right hand; he is still adding to his sleeve. Jimin now has 6 tattoos. He has "Nevermind" on his right ribcage, "13" on his inner left wrist, "Young" on the back of his left bicep, "Forever" on the back of his right bicep, "Youth" behind his left ear, and a crescent moon on the nape of his neck. None of the others have any ink, that we know of, but they recently told us they are considering getting a small matching tattoo between the seven of them.

Throughout the years you will see different footage or photos of all 7 members with what appear to be body art but it's fake. J-hope also is the only member who doesn't have actually ear piercings he wears clip ons

Tattoos were taboo back in the day because if you had tattoos, you were either a gang member or a thug (back in the 80-90s). Tattoos became generally more accepted by the public in the 2010s, and even more so now. The government funded broadcasts still censor Tattoos and they are either covered up or blurred, but on cable TV broadcasts (like Mnet or tvN) or online broadcasts (YT or Naver), they don't have to be covered or they do a shoddy job of covering it.

Jimin and J-Hope were dancers before they joined the group. Jimin studied modern dance and J-Hope was part of a dance group called Neuron. Jungkook was trained to be a dancer. He was 13 when he started as a trainee. They were the main dance line from the start (3J). V joined the main dance line in 2018. They also did this performance at Grand Central Station in NYC. They had 2 hours to film it at 3am so they could have the space to themselves. Very cool video.

Watch 2013/14's American Hustle Life (the full series isn't on here 😉). They took them to Long Beach, CA right after debut and gave a 2 week crash course on American Hip-Hop. Some of the boys are already talking about missing their b-boy roots.

2013 BTS song: NO. About fighting an oppressive system. 2020 BTS song: ON (as in "bring it on"). A declaration that there are still battles to be fought, so they will keep forging ahead. A number of their songs are connected to each other.

I think if you get more into the BTS storylines and the way the videos connect together, if you watch the ON video again, you'll see SO MUCH symbolism that will give you a new appreciation for it. :)

Im with Cory. I saw kinetic manifesto first and that video became what i associated with the song. It just hits harder and showcases the dancing more. Definitely check out the whole album: map of the soul 7. The whole album is based off of carl jung's theories. The rap line each have a song around the theories of the ego, shadow and persona. One of my favorite songs and favorite albums by BTS. Also great reaction and video.

Love your reaction! I prefer On Kinetic Manifesto because I love to see the choreography. Jimin and J-Hope are the main dancers with Jungkook being lead dancer. SUGA actually did B boying but didn't want to do dancing but rather concentrate on rapping and producing. Also, he had injured his shoulder which he only recently got surgery end of 2020. The rest learned dance after joining BTS and practicing 12- 16 hours a day for those early years makes you good. Also, the girl in the middle at the beginning is Sienna Lalau, who is the one who choreographed On, and is part of The Lab.

V is the lead dancer too along with jungkook,he was added in 2018 in dance line and became lead dancer.

The band that recorded the track for this is the UCLA marching band and the UCLA Blue Devils drum corps. This was filmed in the LA River at the Sepulveda Dam and basin.

A little Easter Egg - 6:03 when they line up before JK's mind-blowing solo, they peel off to the sides in order of age, starting with Jin the eldest.

Jungkook's tattoos are so cool back in 2019 when he got them people hated alot on them he wore alot of long sleeves to hide them bc in Korea it's quite frowned upon but now he and jimin show them freely and most people like them now fortunately Another interesting fact : jungkook has lip ring and had eyebrow piercing for a while but now he took it off and just the lip ring exist now he had long hair for couple of times too and might grow it again in the future

Tattoos are a bit of a taboo alright, his tats are often blurred for national broadcasts but for their regular content on weverse, KZread or vlive he has them on full show. I think it depends on the setting like you said but then again I could be wrong. Personally, I wonder if he was a bit wary of showing them in 2020 because they were fresh and still healing. Also he may have been waiting to fill in his sleeve a bit to show it off. At this point we are well acquainted with them and Jimin's Nevermind tattoo which spreads across his chest! The majority of ARMY love the tats or simply don't care too much but there are always a few antis who nitpick at everything. Fun Fact: The guys have been mentioning getting a team/friendship tattoo for a while now so pretty soon they might all be bearing some ink!

I’m with you. Both videos have their appeal but I’m partial to the kinetic manifesto version. Maybe because it’s so satisfying to watch them hit every beat garbed in simple colors while their skills are showcased in this clean and aesthetic setting.

Besides the song and the incredible choreography I love the simplicity and the color palette of the "ON Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima" video. It was actually the first BTS MV I ever saw and after I saw that I got hooked and ultimately became an ARMY.

The whole MOTS7 album is inspired about the psychological concept from Carl Jung's work. I recommend you Film Out, one of their Japanese release, it's an amazing emotional song. But I also recommend "Interlude : Shadow" or "Intro : Persona" who are each solos songs from MOTS7 album. Keep up the good work. 💜

Even though Suga didn't want to dance in the beginning, before their debut he even did b-boying, but he got in a motorcycle accident and injured his shoulder. I believe that even though only JK, jhope and Jimin have the background in dancing, after 9 years we can say they are all professional dancers, or at least have better dance skills than many other singers/idols. That's why I believe Suga stands out so much in the That That MV, he is a pro. I really enjoy your reactions!! I love how you are honest about what you think, yet very respectful. Keep it going!!!

Jungkook had never studied dance professionally before becoming a Big Hit trainee. Vocal lessons and dance practice all started after I joined Big Hit. Personally, I admired that Jungkook, who had not studied dance professionally before joining Big Hit, made his debut as a lead dancer in an official dance line. He may have had a natural talent, but it was probably the result of his hard work. Of course, I like all the styles of the 3J members.

@@aannaa330 what exactly do u mean by “professionally”, cause a street dance crew & high school, aren’t exactly “professional”. If u take the two years Jimin was studying in arts high school in Busan, JK & Jhope we’re training as trainees during that same period. If u want to use Jimin’s art school as credentials, he didn’t finish school there bc he came to Seoul, & JK also went to an arts high school. If u want to bring up Hobi’s dance crew, why not mention that Yoongi Bboyed before messing up his shoulder. Now, if ur talking about taking classes outside of company trainee classes, then yea, Jhope & Jimin took dance classes prior to being trainees, but JK took classes too, in LA pre-debut, all the way to current times, & because of his age, he wasn’t doing much but being an elementary student before being a trainee. Just cause BH may have paid for the classes, doesn’t negate he did that. Plus, most importantly, they have all 7 been trained professionally. That’s the whole point of trainee training.

I totally understand how you feel about watching both MV. And yes, I feel the same way too when they were released. The Kinetic FIlm concept fits perfectly with the song. When they talked about ON, they meant it to be grand for the concert, hence they came up with huge choreography on the Kinetic Film. As for the 2nd MV, I think it serves the purpose to cater to fans who loves BTS craft in presenting intricate storyline with lots of symbolism in their MVs. These kind of MVs always create lots of discussion on theories & stuff. I do feel if they only released the 2nd version as their MV, I would feel differently coz obviously the MV is awesome. All in all, I love the fact they released 2 versions so we can experience the song in different ways.

The Map of the Soul 7 era was right before COVID hit. There was a lot that went into that album from the connect BTS stuff that has a whole lot of different artist coming together from all over the world. That's kinda how I felt about the second ON video. It's like Black Swan too it has 2 completely different videos there's always more to it when it comes to BTS and their vision of their art and how they share it with us.

Hot damn I love you guys. A lot of reactors are fixated on going in blind but I really love that you do some research, it makes your reactions so much more interesting and informative. I'm team "manifesto should have been the official mv" so I know what you mean... the mv was great but honestly the dance performance just fits everything better. Definitely torn that the views get almost halved because some believe we should give watches to the official mv but the rest see that the manifesto version is obviously much more rewatchable...

The Map of the Soul 7 album is really interesting because they put it in an order where it starts with RM's solo Persona which is one of the Jung theory, then lists like 3 or 4 songs about their relationship with ARMY till it hits Suga's solo Shadow, a second segment. Then keep going to Black Swan and ON. So the ON mv kind of pulls symbolism from the songs before it. You'll have V standing with the little girl which kinda reminds me of the Make it Right mv which was the third song in the album, and Suga in a red barn surrounded by kids in black similar to references of color scheme and symbolism of Shadow. Like there's so much to say i can't type it all hahaha but the ON mv pulls in a lot of symbolism that's also displayed in the rest of the album 🤣😅 to make sense of many of their mvs you kind of need an order but to appreciate their cinematic, lyric, choreo etc you don't really need an order. Hope this word vomit made a little sense 🤣😅

A few interesting facts about the mv for BTS "ON" official video: The dance portion was choreographed by Sienna Lalau, from the LA area when still in her teens. She appears in the video leading the dancers up front & center at the beginning of the video. Sienna also choreographed BTS's "Dionysus" performance dance (watch it live, amazing) and J-hope's "Chicken Noodle Soup " (and dances in it also). The dancers were from THE LAB, a multinational dance troup Sienna works with & who BTS has used while on tour in the US. The band appearing in the mv is "The Blue Devils", a competitive Drum and Bugle Corp . The video was filmed at the Sepulveda dam outside LA.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that the official MV for ON feels off for some reason. I can't put my finger on it but somehow it doesn't give the same powerful vibe I get when I watched Kinetic Manifesto. This doesn't mean that it's not a great MV. In fact, the visuals, clothes and everything else were stunning. I just thought the dance version fits the song better.

After watching the MV, you can then watch the behind-the-scenes production of the MV "BANGTAN BOMB", you can better understand the production process, and you can see the seriousness and hard work of BTS

They have done multiple videos before but they really explore the artistic side of things. They really leaned into symbolism in the full version that can take while to digest. The Kinetic Manifesto is a top tier performance video that is beautiful in it’s simplicity. For Black Swan they released the orchestral version MV with a dance troupe from Europe dancing to it then the full MV was dropped later. They also do different videos with different imagery and hints for Japanese versions like for Blood Sweat and Tears. Tattoos are very taboo in Korea you can’t legally get them there as I recall but yes people have them more lately, he covered them up initially but lately he’s been very free about them as has Jimin been subtle but not hiding them.

I've really been enjoying your dive into BTS. Your viewpoint is very refreshing, no BS (haha, no pun intended) and I like that you both have put the work into researching some of the background of each song/video you react to. To answer your question about tattoos, as I'm sure you've seen in the comments, tattoos are not very accepted in Korea or Asia in general. In Korea, idols are generally not allowed to get tattoos, and if, like JK and Jimin, they have them, they're required to cover them on television. Most networks will blur them out if they happen to be visible. When I lived in Korea (about 10 years ago, but it hasn't changed much), my friend had to use either makeup or clothing to cover a small tattoo she had on her arm, and nearly was fired when her workplace found out. The music video for "ON" is very, very different. I'm not sure how aware you are of BTS's separate universe (which they've dubbed the "BU") that runs through their music videos, but some of the things depicted in the music video (Jin with the dove, Jimin reaching toward the sky, the raven with J-Hope) reflect previous storyline events. It's kind of an alternate universe where time-travel is possible. I don't think it's necessary to know anything about the BU to watch BTS's music videos, but that's why they have so many fantastical elements. Awesome job guys, looking forward to more videos!

I highly recommend you check out "Interlude: Shadow," especially in light of the Jungian implications you discovered in researching "ON." It's a SUGA solo track off of the same album as "ON" (Map of the Soul: 7). It's honestly one of the most vulnerable and impactful songs that I've ever heard SUGA do, and is hands-down my favorite rap track of all time.

Tbh, I prefer this MV version more than the other one.

thanks for watching and enjoying ON :) yes, JK has a full sleeve of tattoos and jimin has a tattoo on the right side of his ribs that says "Nevermind" which is their intro song to "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.2" mini album (JK and Jimin have been adding to their tats over the years too). the other tattoo was on V's cheek and it was a temporary one. SUGA did mean to just produce and write songs for BTS when he agreed to join, but he was a b-boy back then as well. he's really good at dancing choreography. RM and Jin had to learn and train to dance to be as good as they are now even if they're the 2 members who are deemed the "poorest" dancers out of the 7 of them (i disagree but hey, i'm no expert). JHOPE, Jimin and JK are the dancers of the group. JHOPE having been part of a famous street dance crew back in his hometown (gwangju). Jimin is classically and technically trained in contemporary (modern) dance before learning popping and other street dance styles. JK at first only sang and but underwent training to become as good as he is now along with being influenced by his hyungs, JHOPE and Jimin. V on the other hand is also a great dancer and had been acknowledged by their dance teacher as part of the bts danceline because of his performance in singularity. you guys should watch the live version of ON. esp the one in grand central station :)

BTS said this was the hardest choreography out of all their songs. Idk if you've watched the behind the scenes of them filming this, but it's really awesome to see the drones and dancers. Plus, the Jimmy Fallon performance in Grand Central Station is really amazing too.

On is one of my favorite songsof them. The message of the song really helped me in my battles in life. There were times that life is so hard to endure. All I needed is to play this song. It helps me to stand and fight life back. It inspires me to never give up and just keep on. It's a very powerful song.

another great videos, guys!! keep doing the amazing work you are doing.. you nice, keep going!! to answer a few of your questions/ a few fun facts: the only members who had a dance background are jimin (contemporary dance and also popping and locking) j hope (street dance) and jungkook; rm said in an interview they came up with the title "on" because of one of their older singles, "no"; they basically just inverted the letters; tattos are actually a big taboo in korea, when jk had just started showing his sleeve on tv, they would blur his arm out whenever it came on screen. however, i dont think they do that anymore, which just shows the culture is evolving there; they use a lot of thinkers and even books as concepts for their songs and mvs; their song (and mv) blood sweat and tears was based on the book damian; i purple you!!! cant wait for more content!!

In fact I believe that they don't cover their tattoos anymore only on the content that's from hybe/big hit itself, and it's aired at vlive or weverse. If is some content that airs in Korean TV, the tattoos get blurred, or jk has to cover them.

Just last year at a KBS tv show Jungkook had to use a "glove" (one of those long sleeves that leave the fingers out 😛) to cover his hand tatoos, so I think that when it comes to content at HYBE's platforms they feel more freedom to show their tatoos, but the Korean tv is still not that open about it.

I love love that you guys are liking more bts stuff and actually doing research behind every video you watch! I also would LOVE to see you guys react to more solo songs including sugar’s shadow and his past stuff like The Last. i think you guys would really like the deeper meaning behind both.

The location is the spillway of the Sepulveda dam. The young woman first seen in the video is Sienna Lalau of The Lab, who I believe was 19 when she choreographed ON (she’s worked on other pieces for them, including Dionysus). V wanted a temporary face tattoo for ON, so he has thorns climbing his neck and ‘The Shadow like me’ under his right eye. This video, the cinematic version and the video for Black Swan (filmed in the Los Angeles Theatre) were all rehearsed and shot in space of a couple of weeks or so very early in 2020, just before Covid hit. During the same trip they also managed to squeeze in recording ON at Grand Central station for Jimmy Fallon and Black Swan for James Corden’s Late Late Show. An incredible amount of work! Black Swan immediately precedes ON in the sequence of songs exploring the idea of Shadow in Jung’s theories of the Self. The Map of the Soul series is dedicated to these ideas, including Persona and Ego (on MotS:7). However, BTS have been on this journey for a few years, certainly since Wings in 2016. I should say that they’re not approaching these complex ideas in an abstract way, they’re using them to understand themselves, the world around them and their place in it. We get to go along for the ride.

Yay!! So glad to see you guys react to this one. This is one of my most favorite videos, it was the one that got me on board. It showed them in a different light, with more edge, different from what I first saw which was Dynamite more pop “boy band” typical. This shows them more without all the production, it especially shows their dance abilities which is the draw to BTS for me is their performance. It got me impressed and made me dive in, got to see how different ends of the spectrum they can be and they’re good on all places of the spectrum. I definitely like this mv better than the official mv for ON. This works with the song better.

He covered his tattoos completely for awhile with gloves and bandaids but showed them in the US. He also has them on his hand. Now they are more lenient about it.

On Kinetic Manifesto made me an ARMY! I love seeing reactions of it. I also love how you do research beforehand - it leads to such interesting discussions.

I saw this video of on first it was very good actually but I never go back again to see it I didn’t know about the official one since I’m a new army but when I saw the official one I was really mesmerized it hit me in the depth I felt every single word and every single feeling I think it’s a matter of taste each one has different one

This is one of my favourite songs and I love this MV! They are dancers, they've been doing it for 10 years, although not exclusively...they sing at the same time too! Talented, talented BTS ❤️

Honestly I had the same reaction to the actual MV for ON. After seeing the performance video my brain was just like, this is it, this is the vibe. And then the actual MV came out and I actually had a hard time with it too. As you guys said as well, the MV is beautifully shot. Truly stunning, and I do still watch that one from time to time. But the energy of the performance video? Off the charts. Matches the sound so well. I almost always watch the performance version because I enjoy this one so much more. So, it’s not just you! 😆

I call this MV the Hollywood version. I saw the original first and it really didn't hit home. Then I saw the version that was filmed in Grand Central Station for the Jimmy Fallon show and I loved it!!!! Thennnnn....I found this version. Holy shit. Thanks for doing this guys.

I really enjoy watching your BTS reaction video as your comments are very honest and genuine. One reaction video I would like to see is your reaction to BTS [MMA 2019] 방탄소년단(BTS) | Full Live Performance. It's more than 30 minutes long but all the songs they performed in MMA 2019 were amazing and that's how I started to pay attention to them and eventually become an Army. In their MMA 2019 performance, Boy In Love is my favorite, then followed by Dionysus and Mikrokosmos.

I love BTS, but have to say the "ON" MV was one of my least favorites so don't feel too bad. :-) This stark version of just them & the marching band is beautiful simplicity to me. And because it's BTS, everything has a meaning... Kinetic: relating to or resulting from motion. Manifesto: a published declaration of the intentions, motives, or views of the issuer Come Prima: in the same manner as the first time - used as a direction in music (this is a double entendre, also meaning they haven’t changed as people or artists since their first song)

Yeah not my fav either, like hpw dynamite is my least fav bts song. But I prefer the b version mv for it, and also the kinetic film more than the actual mv for ON

It’s a bit of a myth that Yoongi didn’t like dancing. He enjoyed it & was good at the B-Boy style & others…he’s just very lazy😂😂😂..not my words…Yoongi’s! There are early videos of him doing a couple of dance practice solo’s. During their training days he took an extra job delivering food to help make ends meet & sadly had a bike vs car accident & the wheel went over his shoulder. He didn’t tell BigHit as he thought he would get cut from the group. I think it was money he needed for school..but not 100% sure (ref. Burn the Stage: Episode 3) When he did come forward they immediately helped him but he had to give up dancing apart from in their own MV’s. In 2012 he can be seen in music video’s for GLAM & SeeU & also had a cameo in Jo Kwon’s ‘I’m Da One.’ After struggling for years with it, having lots of nerve blocks, steroid injections, pain injections etc, with the pandemic in full swing he went for surgery & had 6 months of intensive Physical Therapy & you can really tell he has the movement back. Love him, he is awesome…as they all are. My bias is my photo but they all wreck me!

I definitely watch the kinetic manifesto more than I watch the official video, but when I want to show a new person a BTS video I usually start with the official one because it's so beautiful. If someone is very interested in the dance and choreography then the manifesto is best! They perform that choreography live all the time it's incredible.

Love your reactions guys. Do you have plans of reacting to fake love or black swan? And to answer the tattoo question, koreans dont see tattoo very well, there is a stigma still linked to it. But the newer generations dont have many problems with it at all. And Jimin actually has nevermind on his ribs and other tattoos behind his arms, wrists, back and ear.

Love your reaction videos and also the fact that you look into the background of them too, eg. the remarks RM said about the meanings behind the video. In South Korea tattoo's were always regarded as being something that criminals and gangsters had, hence why they had Jungkook cover them up most of the time. Its so nice to see that the Korean society has moved on from that stigma and are accepting that this isn't always the case. Both Jungkook and Jimin are now able to show their tattoo's with pride and its so nice to see :)

Love it, guys (I also love other content you're doing on your channel too). I completely agree with Kyle. "ON" is such a hardhitting anthem, and the choreography is equally hardhitting and phenomenal (it is agreed by BTS and ARMY that this is their hardest choreo to date), so the Kinetic Manifesto film is by far my preference. The official MV is a gorgeous film, but it doesn't highlight the choreo, it uses a more traditional visual storytelling technique. However, I am in LOVE with the kinetic storytelling of the choreography in the Manifesto film, it is beautiful and fierce choreo that conveys the message of the song perfectly.

You know, now that you mentioned it...I also don't watch the cinematic video that much. I watched it twice maybe and then I watch this video (the perf you just watched) when I listen to the song. It definitely does fit the song so much better - and it might be cause I saw it first? Very interesting. To be clear, the other video has some amazing symbolism, and it references to so many things so it's a bit of an art work in itself - but the song itself. It's this video right here. That's the energy. I agree with you 💯 P.S. The thing is, Jung believed that the shadow isn't necessarily a "bad" part of us. It's rather characteristics and memories that we try to suppress about us. And "growing up" is accepting that part of your personality - that is the process of individuation, becoming a whole person. Interestingly enough, it typically happens when one is middle aged (middle age crisis as part of it). Essentially, shit happens when you try to repress parts of yourself cause then you can't control it. Interesting stuff. The whole album is like a look at the individual, but also collective shadow (what is the collective personality of society and bts as a group)

As someone mentioned you should react to Bookish Theories explanations as well as DKDKTV. Very useful to fully understand BTS MV's, that is if you want a deeper and fuller experience of BTS music!

This is their grown mature versions of themselves *They teamed up with UCLA Brass The Blue Devils MARCHING BAND along with dancers known as THE LAB and a GOSPEL CHOIR. They filmed at the most famous Los Angeles Dam. The kinetic manifesto film is a preview video of their full “ON” choreography since they only do the dance break part in their official MV* when this came out I was like this the whole time 🙀👀 then toward the end, I couldn’t explain it at all I had no words it literally gives me N.O with Not Today and We are Bulletproof vibes that I found later through interviews that this title track is reverse of their 2013 title track “N.O” from their second album ‘O!RUL8,2?’, our guys definitely didn’t come to play, once I heard it I knew it was the title track.* Like OMG the others are playing the drums behind Suga and our man Jin front & center. I did notice Jin wasn’t part of the dance break b/c he said it was very difficult for him which is perfectly fine & understandable, he has been doing so great along with RM and Suga with their dancing & vocalizing. I’m so proud of their improvement 😵😻 The more I listen and many fans have their theories but I think what theyre basically saying is no matter what negativity or challenges comes their way they’ll overcome it together when they say “Bring it, Bring the pain”, I wish every kpop artist had that mindset because there would’ve been less disbandment or members leaving their groups. Also, I believe the backup dancers representing the ARMY 💪🏽 which is saying that the fans and BTS have each other’s back, theyre willing to go out of their way to help each other and others to get through hardship. Theyve mixed in allot of their old dance movements with this new choreography, there’s so much symbolism going on within their dancing including the fake tattoos on Taehyung’s face & neck which he wanted to use for this concept. *Their outfits symbolize the Light & Dark, which they’re embracing both sides to balance themselves* #ON #BTS

I don't stan BTS but I do appreciate them. They do have a few songs I like, especially Mic Drop remix is one of my top 10 favorite kpop songs. When this video came out, my respect for them went tenfolds. The song is fantastic, the lyrics are great, and the choreo is spot on. And then to top it off the amount of work they put into this video had to be astronomical.

You guys doing a good job. Their MV goes with their story line if you are interested. SUGA was backup dancer for another idol group with JHOPE, JungKook and Jimin and he did bboy before accident. He finally got sugary done late 2020. I am glad he did so he don't have to go through pain when he dance. It is painful but he did wonderful doing a dance he never complained or given a excuse why he can't dance he just dance through pain. I am very proud of him. He also made bit for dance break. There is commentary film how they made this track. It is big project just like you said.

I have to admit that I was unable to bring myself to watch the music video for this song for the longest time for similar reasons… I watched kinetic manifesto and was obsessed with that version so I didn’t want to watch the other and be disappointed or confused. I think it was an entire year before I did. That being said I really love both versions in their own spaces. One is more of a get hype, in your face version, and the other in movie climax, hopelessness to hope, good wins in the end kind of way. I dunno. But I could relate to what you were saying.

I guess I am one of the few that prefers the regular MV. I like them both but I love the cinematic elements and story telling in the regular MV.

The Kinetic Manifesto came out first. The Manifesto's chronological primacy has left people marveling in layers of performance circus where the actual mv dyadically using storyline allegory, religious references and Hollywood imagery wonderfully relates the Jungian concept of individuation which underlies "On". So the mv for all its fantasy is an intellectual exercise tied to the song's Map of the Soul meaning. The wow you Manifesto requires little thought. It is simply a pleasure. Sadly simple pleasure almost always will trump the hard work of complex analyzing.

Jimin, Jhope and Jungkook were trained dancers before even coming to BTS. Jimin studied contemporary / modern, Jungkook studied in California for hip hop / B boy and Jhope was an amazing street dancer and part of a dance crew but also took dance training. To this day these three are known as the 3J dance line. You should look up some of their dance videos. Thanks for the reaction

I lost count how many movies and tv shows that I have seen over the past decade that have been filmed in that same location which isn’t much of a surprised; it has really gained a reputation of being one of the most famous places to shoot dramas and films.
