Good video but just wanna say I work for the company that owns Fulton garage... on cruise ship days there are normally about 4 shuttles that run so you never have to wait to long!!!

Just one additional note to this superb video!! There are several hotels around the area that offer discounted/free parking if you stay a night at their facility either before or after your cruise.

Thank you we are cruising in March and one couple is driving and this is very interesting.

We parked at the outdoor lot kitty cornered from the Norwegian terminal. Outdoors and cost the same as the terminal parking, but had 24/7 security.

Actually just got back from that exact cruise about a week ago. It was our first time in Montego Bay and Cayman Island. At Montego Bay we did the excursion carnival offered the catamaran snorkel. The snorkeling was fun, lasted about 30 -40 minutes, but after that they took us around the corner to margaritaville. They only had us there for like 30 minutes then they were like lets go back to the ship the excursion was over and it was only like 10:30am lol. We opted to stay at margaritaville and take a taxi back. That excursion I did not believe was worth the money, but we had some friends that went to the secrets resort and they said they loved it.

Great video Cruise Man.....Any idea how far the cruise terminal is from the Amtrak station. I usually take the train to the terminals from my home city.

How do I reserve my parking for the cruise NCL I am looking for the one parking lot where you can walk out and you are at the port.

We are trying to find out cost of parking at the piers. Also can we park a couple days before our cruise.

Thanks for all the tips here. Ive heard people show up at cruise ships in NOLA without being booked and can pick up last minute deals on unbooked rooms, super cheap. Any truth to that?

That is NOT TRUE. Cruise ships stop selling rooms I think about a week before the cruise date. That is mandated by law because they must know exactly how many people are going to be on the ship before they sail. Paperwork has to be sent in with their guest list in advance so last minute add ons do not happen. Those last minute deals have to be booked at least a week or so before the ship cruises. From my experience, out of NOLA, room prices do not drop because those ships fill up before the sail date and the cruise companies know they will sell those rooms. I've seen price drops on short trips (3 or 4 day trips) out of places like Las Angelas and Florida but not in NOLA.

There is Fulton Parking Garage which is like a block away from the Port of New Orleans that offers a free shuttle to and from the port with paid parking. To be honest though it is so much simpler and easier just to park at the actual port. Yes it does cost a little bit more, but it is so much easier and faster, you basically pay for the convenience.

No you can not make reservations at the cruise terminal parking, it is first come first serve, but there is plenty of parking there you will have no problem getting a spot. The fulton garage parking you do have to get online and purchase before because they do have limited parking spots and different prices for different levels in which you park there.
