Washington WR Ja’Lynn Polk
Junior 6’2 204 lbs
The Washington Huskies made the CFB Playoff. While Michael Penix Jr. was a Heisman finalist & Rome Odunze was the best NFL prospect on the team, Ja'Lynn Polk is no slouch. He may not be listed among the likes of Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers & Brian Thomas Jr. the way Odunze does, he’s definitely more than a WR2. Polk could very well develop into a WR1. He’s that good. Similarly to how Justin Jefferson was viewed as a second target at LSU with Ja’Marr Chase on the team, Polk just didn’t get as much attention as the more hyped up prospect. Realistically, both WRs are future NFL starters.

The most overlooked and underrated receiver of this year's class. People say he doesn't have elite traits-one that is clear to me is concentration. It's amazing how often we'll forgive a prospect for dropping passes or flinching in traffic as long as he runs fast or awes with route running, and then we see those guys bust out of the league. Polk is a straight baller, and he's going to earn his place on an NFL field immediately.

His biggest knock was that he struggled to seperate at the COLLEGE level, and that was going against the other teams worst corners because the good ones were focused on Odunze. I didn't like this pick much when AD Michel was there for the taking. Maby im wrong. However the Javon Baker pick makes up for it especially in round 4. The guy they drafted in the 4th round Javon Baker was playing 2 seasons at UCF as their X receiver. Those kind of receivers are the No. 1 on the depth chart. he reminds me of him for sure! Amon Ra doesn't wow you with his speed but he's a stud receiver for Detroit. The thing I don't like about the criticism on Polk is about how fast he is. A lot of the better receivers in the NFL run a 4.5. Hopkins is one of those receivers. I really think Polk will be productive enough to earn a starting spot in a year or two. I like how he plays bigger than he is which is a sign of confidence and determination. If you know you're not the fastest but find ways to take advantage of that, you're going to do just fine.

Too slow, skills won’t translate to NFL. When you see great at 50/50 balls as the first thing in the scouting report it’s code for can’t create separation or get open. You need fast guys that can create separation in NFL. Patriot receivers last year had worse separation grade in NFL and this won’t change that. Carbon copy of N’keal Harry. You need that game changer #1 guy that can take it to the house every play. Feel bad for Maye and the situation he’s in…

Adams is one of the best route runners in the NFL. Clean crisp breaks, bursts out of cuts, gets away from people. Polks route running is average at best. If you can’t separate in college what you going to do in the NFL? AD Mitchell much higher ceiling take the risk on a diva or play it safe with Mconkey. Polk can’t play the outside. He might be able to play slot but Pats don’t need another slot guy. Mconkey will catch 90 balls this year barring health.
