First thing I did
The fact that Steve compared Polk and Baker to TJ n Ocho before they got drafted to the same team is wild.
Polk is the real deal. Odunze casts a large shadow because he’s great but Polk consistently makes big time plays and has the mentality every team needs.

No bs!! I feel the same way, his hands are solid af!!! Imma Texans fan and all 22 season I would do my best to catch the late game for Washington looking for a QB hopeful (Penix) and was WOW'd by Rome, and I watched game after game...Polk would make play after play if wasn't Rome... I'd love to have Polk in a Texans uni, I'll just say that!!
Maye and Polk bout to tear it up in NE let’s go we need good football back in NEW ENGLAND BABY🎉!!!

I wish you would put your money where your mouth is! I would gladly remove you from $1000. Polk would be ok as an NFL #2 best as a #3.......your PC Thunder cats drafted him as a #1😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 good luck with that! Next year you will be drafting third at best. Welcome to 1988 Thunder cats fans.

@PATRIOTTTT STUD!!!! We don't gotta look around the league and flirt with other qbs no more. We got a legit stud at quarterback 😤😤 wait until preseason you're going to be smiling from ear to ear. Bro is a DUDE, since last year before Daniel's and JJ came out of nowhere it was all about him and Caleb. They were 1-2 up until the end of last year season to the beginning of the draft. In my opinion I think we just got the best qb in the draft. I love Caleb and everything he does but bro is a little small compared to what you call an NFL body. Not saying he's not gonna be great but I think like Daniel's injuries are going to be an issue for them. You watch Drake in college bro just pops right back up after a hit, he's got the body to play big in the NFL, got the arm talent to make all the throws, seems to be very coachable and looks like a locker room guy I mean I can go for hours man. Lol we got a good one how about that 😂
Pats fan here. I'm hype af on the two WRs we drafted for Maye.
Rome may have been the number 1 but in the championship game Polk came thru and killed it and still put n 1100 yard season #Tuff 😤😤
Thank you guys. Hey there's alot of content out there and all have there merits. When it comes to WR's , there's no one that I trust more than Steve Smith. I watched his whole career and I can definitely say he was one of the best. Who better to break down receivers than a future HOF receiver IMO ?
Been waiting for this one, love Polk’s game
steve, you're the man. great breakdowns. crazy how much talent there is in this class.
After the Pats drafted him and I watched his highlights I was excited because he seems legit and hard nosed. He reminded me of a Anquon Bolden, TJ houshmanzahda, Hines Ward type of reciever.

He's the best
Thanks for doing that one. I had been waiting for it. I really like him. I'm hoping the Bengals can target him. He reminds me of Tyler Boyd with a smig of Tee wich is pretty similar to TJ. The been spoiled with physical Wr's, so it's my highest requirement for a Wr. Polk runs & flexs like Boyd after a big catch, I can't get it out of my head.
As a pats fan I love it. But really in general I think Steve is so great in this kinda role. Love his knowledge/humor of course, but also he’s always very fair, but the way he’s positive and fair esp with young guys coming up. He’s def got some hater in him haha, but he doesn’t hate on kids coming into the league which is awesome
If he comes anywhere close to TJ I will be extremely happy
Also a pats fan doing some scouting and it means a lot coming from a great all time receiver like Mr smith 💪🏻

As a pats fan I absolutely love Polks catch radious an the way he attacks the ball with his hands an dont wait for the ball to hit him in the chest!
Polk is keenan Allen 2.0 #LetsGoPats

Smitty, thank you for carrying my Dynasty team. Really appreciate it!
Luv the pick as a Die Hard Pats fan wanted Rome but Polk tuff to I want to see him with that size and hands in the slot 🔥🏈
So happy we got him here in Boston

I love the pick and think Polk could have even been a late first. Nabers went early and his number 2 Brian Thomas went later in the first. I don't see why with Rome going early next to nabers why Polk isnt/wouldn't be worthy of a late first round pick. He is a straight dog

Been waiting for this one. Hoping my guy Steve doesn't destroy Polk, I think he has a potential to be a steal in the late 2nd early 3rd.
I said this, before. Ja’Lynn Polk reminds me of Terry McLaurin. Catches everything. No matter what. Not quite, as fast as Terry, but fast enough. He’s also, a good blocker, which Terry is as well.

would love to see the "pure talent top 30" before the draft and landing places influence his assessments
4.52 is solid speed. Is he Randy Moss or Deion Sanders? No. But 4.5 is decent speed.
Side note, in basketball they absolutely have different calls for the same thing. When it’s explained to you on TV they just call it PnR, but every team has different calls for it and different principles for where they set the picks, what the counters are for the different coverages they get, etc..
He reminds me of HOF Steve Largent a pure technician at route running and off the line not 4.3 speed but still gets open everytime with unbelievable body control! Real reconize Real smitty knows what he's doing! Not to mention eliott wolfe world reknown for having the magic eye for wr talent go look at his work for green bay thats what hes known for from 2000's to 2015-16!

It’s not he likes everyone. He’s not disrespectful or talking bad on them like those other guys!! SSSr is doing a real breakdown of their game. Something those “other guys” don’t know how to do. They’re just SUPER FANS …
🦁 definitely looking at him I could see him like saint in the fourth as a value pick with the comps to TJ that’s 🔥 having DPJ tho makes it less likely to happen they similar athletes!
We can run this man in the slot with Baker on the outside and Thornton on the other side pulling the fastest CB coverage with him. It's a nice setup and if Thornton doesn't bring it Polk can definitely go outside and maybe we draft or sign a big speed receiver to complement these 2 next season
Pennix throws a lot of floaters and high balls. Adjustment to the ball, and makes contested catches = has to slow down and wait for the ball, along with everyone else who had time to get there.
Let's keep it real if Steve did a negative review on a player y'all would be going crazy calling him out ready to cancel him.

Steve can u do DB breakdowns? Wondering ur opinion on dejean
@chefturbo4117
Ай бұрын
I'll give you my breakdown. DeJean is a great zone corner. He's probably good for four or five interceptions a year, and has the ability to take any of them to the house. He's a good returner. He could play free safety in a lot of systems. I don't think he is a shutdown man corner, or at least he hasn't shown that he is. Depending on the system he will probably be a pretty decent CB2 in the NFL. I don't think he can lock up NFL wr1s.
Sounds a bit like a less polished Tee Higgins type guy? Sounds like a great #2 for a lot of teams

Patriots fans were upset we took Polk instead of McConkey, but Pats already got Pop Douglas to play slot and Polk is a guy with a big catch radius and sure hands so he fits with Drake Maye more who's only weakness aside from footwork is consistent pin-point accuracy. My comp for him is Rashee Rice. He's going to be very nice, maybe not a true WR1 but definitely could be a high end WR2
Hey Steve did you already do Ladd Mchomie

Ja'Lynn Polk; currently being mocked at the end of 2nd/beginning of the 3rd round. I see a lot of contested catches...is he separating?? Will he have trouble separating at the next level? He'll definitely be a contributor, but see him as a WR3. And he needs a QB will to give his WRs a chance, and not one that needs to see the separation. But he should be able to work his way to becoming a decent starter on 3 WR sets on a team.
