Personally, I didn't mind that he didn't turn the light on. It made it spookier, and he still got through it fairly easily.

Everybody's getting upset about Arin missing the lightswitch over and over through the entire game but I haven't seen anyone mention that, when told to take out the trash _from_ the kitchen, he went directly to the dumpster to try to get trash to bring _into_ the kitchen.

for everyone watching who hasn’t seen or played this game: yes, the restaurant does have lights. no, arin never finds one of the many light switches on the walls that are visible onscreen at many points in the video.

I’m 18 minutes into this video and every time Arin glances at the light switches and doesn’t see them is causing me physical pain at this point

Working as a barista, the anxiety of having to open a shop alone and serve customers at the same time is the true horror of this game

I Know the light switch thing is the silly part we’re all giggling at but the moment at 2:41 when Arin goes “drive-thru only? Well how am I supposed to get in?” Implying that there are NO DOORS in the establishment is also pretty good

So this started off as a Shift Horror game, and then whiplashed into Bioshock levels of social commentary. I'm here for it.

Yes! I came to the comments looking for this. Clearly heavily Bioshock-influenced, however very creative when it comes to thinking it’s just another low-rez standard jump-scare game and actually turning into something more substantial.

I mean it's not like there are instructions say "click on stuff to make things happen" directly above a light switch so the whole game didn't have to be played in absolute darkness.

Starting to really appreciate that they had to record these so far in advance, meaning Arin could just spring games on Dan like "Welcome to Ghoul Grumps!" "Aw, dammit"

Dan: "Is this going to be scary?" Arin: "Noooooo... Welcome to Ghoul Grumps!" That's how you know Dan's gonna be terrified. And we all appreciate his bravery. I hope you check out the full game too. It's pretty good.

Arin missing the subtle hint to turn on the lights made this game scarier for me because I have to have my face 2 inches from the monitor to see anything.

For a second i thought this was Burger Farm and got so excited, i hope they play Burger Farm at some point

I actually found out about this game from Super Horror Bro (Mike), who covers horror games on his channel. This is a really cool series of games that just feels, I don't know its so alive. Its another mascot horror, but it feels so fresh and different

Arin always manages to play every game just a little bit totally wrong.

I like how arins attitude is "its just a game nothing can harm me" and dans is "everything is going to harm me"

The moment arin just walked past the light switch I knew it was never going to get turned on

"I never saw anything about a light" - arin who walked passed it into the freezer after reading the instructions for interacting WITH THE LIGHT

I like how "avarice" was considered inaudible.

Listen Arin does this on purpose, He knows how light switches work and could of easily question where they might be and spend a min finding it.

When Arin said MacDougalls, that’s actually my family’s last name! It’s like I got unintentionally shouted out in a Game Grumps episode! Also I remember playing this game with my friend about a year and a half ago!

Arin ignoring all the instructions is truly the scariest thing of all.

The way that they never read the instructions when they're so blatantly written in the corner is always astounding to me.

Of course he played it without turning on the lights. Jesus. I love all the comments about how he kept walking past the light switch (multiple times….). And what about your buddy in the apartment building? He’s my favorite.
