I was banned and i still dont know why 😢.

Extinction is probably the most touching part of Ark lore (on top of being the one that delivers the most on Ark's big themes). There is loss and despair at an unprecedented level. There is real connexion between the characters, and emotion in their evolution. The first time I read the Explorer notes (on the wiki, in chronological order), I just cried. I'm so sad for players who don't get to experience that side of the game. Hopefully videos like this will convince them to look into it.

It would have been cool if the king titan actually had an X carved into his chest on his in game model. It would have given him a little more backstory for when you face him, and maybe get the people who don't know about ark's lore to look into it.

Im honestly so... so sad that we couldnt witness all of this... in actual actor and ark fashion but thanks alot for this. I never knew... I knew helena was brought to the chamber hidden in the artefact cave in the sunken forest and all that jazz but no clue that Diana was brought back. Seriously.. such a cool story all hidden away....

Neddy, you really have a flair for storytelling. Your passion for this lore and this project really shines through. Thank you for making sense of all of this and continuing to make incredible content!

Arks lore is addicting for some reason even more so now that they have voice actors. it’s making me play through all the story arks 🤩

Man, this is quite the feat. Arks whole overarching story is incredible so far. Imagine if this would've been made into a series in live action (and hopefully not flop). Thank you Neddy for bringing us another banger of a video and we can't wait for the next one!

What happen to them after extinction when mei yin and Diana said good luck and no location and death, and I haven't seen or heard from them since genesis 1 & 2, so I hope they come back at ark 2.

Idea: the last story dlc (coming for asa) might follow the story of Mei Yin and Diana after this point, with explorer notes about what happened after they fought of the king titan, and we (as a new survivor) have to follow in their footsteps to activate the reseed protocol after another survivor (us from extinction) kill the king titan and the other titans.

Every time I watch those videos (and The Survival Stories) I get chills😮 Ark is not only great art, the way you illustrate/explain it - a masterpiece for itself I'm grateful to have experienced this❤

Thank you so much for all of these, Neddy. It's amazing to me how much more Ark's story hits when we have to find it ourselves. And everything you have done to bring it to life makes it just so much more real.

We need an arat prime dlc to finish the story and link into the genesis stories. Hopefully wildcard give us this one last thing

3:14 My brother pointed out how Helena's high synchronization rate/advanced nervous system might be because she ascended 2 times (The Island->Scorched->Aberration), Compared to the others who never went anywhere outside of Aberration (except Mei, who only ascended once) This might also explain how the prism reacted to her only...

this video was very interesting to watch! i know next to nothing about extinction lore (mainly because i haven’t played on extinction yet), so this was fun to watch!

Not sure if this one was cancelled or not, the comments seem undecided, but I just spent hours watching your survival stories and they were amazing. I am absolutely hooked. As someone who, because of space on my computer cant play more than the island and one other map, i have enjoyed watching the lore on the only channel that seems to have shared the whole versions. So thanks. And i really would love to see the rest of the survival stories

I love this game so much!! It starts as such an innocent simple dinosuar game and spirals into, you ascend to godhood

Got a very simple question how big do you thing the king Titan is in the lore, because in the extinction prolong cutscenes you can see him being a bit taller than come lower cloud’s

King Titan is basically head of the hive Mind, he maybe didn't defeat last humans in earth but he definitely developed over the years as the King over the ruins. Yes there are more then 4 titans walking the Earth, killing the King was probably all we needed to end the hive mind and do reseed protocol As far as we know, Earth is the only corrupted planet, but other also could he as element probably came as a meteor Arat Prime is a station from which you can teleport to the colony ship, but since ship partly crashed into unnamed planet, they named it Arat as to connect Earth Which leads me to believe if someone from now newly reborn earth figures out to teleport, our main antagonist could be people from Earth while people from ship want to preserve no tek based world

it could be something as simple as Arat Prime is the Sun of that Solar System and we are on like Arat 1/Alpha or however astronomy names planets, my Astronomy knowledge isn't great

i've been playing this game for a long time without really knowing the lore... the story is crazy when you think about it, just sad that wildcard is playing that way with their playerbase and always push thing back that much. i really hope that ASA bring enough improvement to make the game survive until ark 2 and that ark 2 will not be a big deception after all that long wait.

So Arat Prime was originally a facility on the other side of the world? I would have loved if they continued with that in the next expansion, giving closure to Mae & Diana's story (what happened to them in the end) Then the Genesis Expansion probably would have made a bit more since, instead of being so sudden & jarring, as at the end of Extinction it looks like our character became a Homo Deus, then the next thing we know were being jerked back into a new story & told it was all a simulation.

3:13 (if Helena technically ascended from scorched earth, idk) Would she be like this, because she ascended 3 times. Just like in ark if you ascend a lot you gain serious levels.

With the state of the world in real life, I feel like Extinction's story and narrative themes are more relevant than ever, that even when faced with the extinction of the world we can't give up the hope that despite the insurmountable odds we can still fix this.

Extinction is one of my favourite dlcs, my second favourite only to genesis part 2, 3rd is genesis part 1

i really hope in the futrue we get an ark game which goes way further into the lore, so we can go to these places as they did.

As far as i heard they died fighting the Titans

I think extinction has the best lore of the ark maps, it’s just I wish it had more backstory, like I’ll see all these cool buildings and wonder what the backstory of this is and what it does, sanctuary is cool it just doesn’t feel fleshed out enough to work as a city.

I think the reason why Helena was more evolved than the rest of them and as because she did an ascencion by beating the manticore

For the longest time I wondered why Diana was on extinction

I feel like our survivor title instead of the one who tries again should be something like the one who survives or the one who remains

we never knew what happend to Diana and Mei, maybe we see both in Ark 2 (hopefully). when Santiago is still alive.... maybe.

From what I could interpret from the lore, the alpha king titan made an elemental armor in response to the mega mek which is the only thing that really hurt him and made him feel afraid, that's why we only used the mega mek against the king titan in his version alpha. So he made armor to protect himself from the mega mek (the only thing that can/came close to defeating him in lore)

There can be multiple copies of the same person If I remember right Santiago 3(Gen 2) does not remember santiago 2's life

Ark should have been a 1 game only, you progress, the world changes around you, you get to keep the progress, still have fun and end the story. But this?, they are just milking it at this point

Thing is, Santiago from the notes is not the same Santiago as Vin in Ark 2 We basically have 4 known versions The original who lived during 23 century tek wars The clone who worked on Colony Ship The one from explorer notes And Ark 2

Again. Why aren’t you doing this in the Survivor Notes way? I know you made a video, but I’m choosing to ignore it because it seemed like the things you were complaining about where things you decided to add in. Custom content and the like. It turned out great, but if it was that stressful, just don’t do it again. Or do it to a much lesser degree. You should finish what you started. This chapter doesn’t sound like to has much of anything that couldn’t be done if basic spawning commands or community help. It’s not like you’d have to model a new Rockwell-esq thing again.

I have no interest in making a product as low quality, low effort, and pointless as what you are suggesting. Sounds lame, and not at all fun to watch or to create. If you want to make something that low budget, be my guest, but if I were going to make a movie about the extinction story, I would do it the right way, not in some cheap attempt that can be whipped up in a few weeks, such as you’re suggesting.

Ned says "most important story dlc of the entire game" Ned also says We are not going to do a survival story for it... Like bro survival stories are what get you recognised in the community you gotta do it justice, you can't half finish a project when someone like you is as passionate about the lore as you are.
