Project Life is really not something to glorify but I get it, it’s the reality for some people. My mom raised 3 kids out of 5 in East New York in the 70s and Blessed the day she was able to get out and move to Queens ( Cambria Heights ). if you ask most people nobody wants to live in the Projects but then there’s some that have that project/poverty mentality and don’t want to “ leave the hood”.. She’s a beautiful young lady with charisma I hope she got out.

@@_meangreenjersey973 I don't look at it as painting light. If that's what they know then it's just that. Hip Hop rose with the artists telling about where they from, and what they did. It's a story to be told. It's an awakening verbal experience. Could the energy be put elsewhere, yeah of course. However how are we going to know that story. I don't wanna know how the rich live. That's not the tribe, I would contribute to, to help their community. Giving just $5 to help them build a rec center for at risk youth. This is what the world needs to see. And this KZread page shows it, no matter how you take it. This is what the world needs to see. Not the Hollywood Bullshit. This is LIFE for many. She don't need to put her energy elsewhere, the Government needs to put their energy in places like this, so you won't have to say that. Let's start there. Respectfully. - R.O.C

I just watched 3 of your most recent vlogs but I had to commment here because of this woman love and admiration for her upbringing. It also gave a "female" perspective growing up in the projects and they are usually blunt/anxious to talk about family life more than the males (praise street activities). In spite of her proud upbringing, she does recognize the flaw living in these housing projects. She chose the path to do better and moved out of the hood. That's the best thing you can do for a change. And I applaud her for it. After watching most of your vlogs, one thing I've noticed and that confirms my comment in your previous video - none mentioned *raised by a father.* Mostly mother, aunt, or grandma. Literally, these males were all raised by females or single-parent. I believe if they were raised by both parents. Life would've been much different in these communities and I am a firm believer of having both parents raising their kids. *Relying on Government is not the answer.* Simply look at the results based on these vlogs (raw unedited)... HoodVLogs I appreciate what you do brotha!

The system is set up to separate families. You can't get into government housing if the father is in the picture. Two incomes disqualifies you.
@hustlehard.8522
2 жыл бұрын
@@tamikaescoffery9929 True - Section 8 rules are outdated and needs reform. I've mailed my concerns/suggestion to the Housing Authorities many times but nothing has changed. But when I researched the people who run these programs, they have NEVER lived in these projects themselves - *no experience or idea of what's causing crime to exist.* So their belief catering to women and children only, remain as their priority. It sounds great in theory but in reality it has a negative impact when you exclude the male/father. Some may disagree with me and that's OK. But I would encourage them to study other families who do well for themselves. One thing you'll notice is that they have both parents raising theirs kids. The kids that grow up to be successful and are asked who are their heroes? It's not celebrities, but fathers. Tom Brady, the Willam sisters, and many alike are good examples...
@xxcallmeniaxx3272
2 жыл бұрын
@@hustlehard.8522 well for one these are normally black people and black men have incredibly high statistics of domestic abuse, so the reason they do not cater to the fathers need most the time is because they are beating on the mom. And the thing is they still do cater to the father, my father was beating my mom half to death and she kept begging the courts to get him out of our house and to stop visitation the courts did not listen until my mom had another black eye but she got it on film. And even after that they still insisted on allowing visitation, where my father wouldn't watch me and I'd be sex trafficked. That didn't stop till he attacked my mom again and they finally stop forcing it. So they do cater to fathers often at the expense of the children. Also to say that a child hero is there father? How fucked up like what a shitty fucked up thing to say. My mom is my hero, every single mom is my hero. My mom has owned her business for 20 years and has put my through pre-med and will be putting me through med school because despite your belief women are capable of raising great kids without men. And mind you im from the hood I grew up in the south bronx I come this shit she's the one the push me to get the fuck out.
