If anybody has ever tried to do translation on the fly like that especially in front of an audience focusing on you, they'll know that isn't too easy. I'm all the more impressed because this girl is so young and she's in front of a judge, a court audience and other officials all paying attention to her, in a far from ideal situation. Girl is a diamond; mother and father must be so proud.

Influences and allowed to make mistakes are the best way to learn any language. Going to school is the best place to have influences from fellow peers and be allowed to learn from your mistakes. Adults often lack influence and scared or/and embarrased to make mistakes. Top that of with a childs minds, which will absorb everything like a sponge.

She probably interacts with english speaking people way more than the parents do. If you're subjected to a language, and made to speak it every single day, all day, you'd learn quick no matter what age. Her parents most likely hangs out with mostly arabic speakers because it feels safe, but then they don't learn as much. Had they been regularly going to english classes, and practiced speaking mostly english at home, they would have been just as good as the little one.

I just finished my surgery and a bunch of the doctors that worked on it came to me and my mom told them that I wanted to be a doctor. Then they made this fake contract (i dont know if its fake but hopefully haha) that said that I'll be a doctor in that specific children's hospital and I had to sign it. My mom uses that as an excuse to tell me to become a doctor. Sorry mom, but no way.
