It's very interesting to see how you go about designing. So cool.

Similar program to our sheet metal cybermation program. Great video.

I would love to see in a video you talk about the fonts that you use that you think cut well. Also any speeds and depth info on what you do. Love your videos. Thanks.

The depth really is usually about 0.13" rarely do I go deeper, Ill have to look at the feed and speed settings, can't remember off the top of my head, thanks for watching!
thankyou for this, i learn alot, was trying to figure out how to put a circle around a marine logo but have it carve nicely.

Brian, thanks for the look into setting up a CNC. machine. It's really interesting to see this.

Have you done a tutorial or know of one that explains how the switching bits in the middle of a project works? Like during fabrication?

It seems like I did do one where I showed bit changes......So here is a simplified explanation......after each process the machine returns to zero...so if I ran a vcarve process and the next process is going to be a profile process...the machine returns to zero after vcarve, I then turn off the spindle and change bits from a vbit for vcarve to a end mill bit for profile.....Then go and close the vcarve program on the computer and load the profile process, fire up the spindle and hit go in Mach 3 and it starts the next process with the different bit...Thanks for watching!!
Brian, what kind of air brush kit do you use/recommend?

I use Iwata revolution, I've got 2, I really like them but as for recommending these are the only ones i've used and they work great so I know next to nothing about other brushes, Thanks for watching!
Bryan, i'm just learning and have a question. My cnc hasn't even been delivered yet but I'm learning vcarve. My question, is it best on a l large letter say 2 1/2 tall with a flat depth should I just use the v-carve tool only or add the clearance tool selection. I'm looking at the Pointedly Mad font, using just the 90 v bit by its self, the bottom looks rough. The preview using the clearance tool at the same depth doesn't look good either. Any suggestions?

Single letter recessed? or cut out?
Thanks for the great video. I made a sign following your video creating a toolpath that carved out the area around the letters, but it didn't carve as deep as the v-bit toolpath did. Do you have any idea why the .25 endmill wouldn't 't go as deep as the v-bit did? I used the same .13 flat depth as you did in your video. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The only thing I can think of, off the top of my head....Did you re-zero after the bit change?...If not it will make the difference....if you did re-zero on the 2nd bit, I would be stumped!...Thanks for watching!!

@@SmokeysCNCWoodworks I did re-zero after bit change. I'll try another one and see how it goes. Thanks

That is odd....if this problem continues...ask this question over on CNCZone, its a forum and these guys are experts at this stuff and solved a lot of problems for me early on....That was the only explanation i could come up with....I have done that very thing myself....Thanks for watching!!

@@SmokeysCNCWoodworks Thanks for your videos. I ran it a second time and it worked great. It appears that the second pass of the clearance toolpath did not run the fist time, not sure why but all is good!
Yes Aspire a very expensive upgraded version of Vcarve, but well worth the money if you plan on doing 3D modeling.

I have a question I want the spindles and start cut right where I 0 it. For a cutout I know it can be set do you know how
@SmokeysCNCWoodworks

Using vectric, as far as I know you are going to zero in 1 of 5 spots the 4 corners and the center....I personally use the center for zero and it works great for cutouts.....I see what your saying, I just thing it would be quite challenging...starting from center it will go to the edge and start the cutout regardless of shape......You should shoot this question out on CNCZONE.com, a forum, filled with experts, I have got a lot of questions answered there....Sorry cant really help you....Thanks for watching!!
I love that design but I need one that reads "Go Away". Maybe with a shotgun under the lettering. 😆🤗
