It did. We got the 1929 stock market crash, a burgeoning fascist movement, hot and cold running bigotry, a deadly pandemic, wealth inequality on an absolutely hopeless scale, and rampant, open corruption in our government at every level and among the so-called titans of industry. We didn't get anything that was remotely fun, though. Just the awful parts.

Sawasbi although that’s more Victorian/Edwardian than the 20s. Men were wearing those straw hats with the stripes around it if I recall, or at least in the summer. And beards and sideburns are def Victorian/Edwardian.

My mother was born in '29 and she's still hangin' on! Funny the electro swing reverts to the 2/4 time (or what we jazz bassists call "two-feel) to achieve a dance groove but the old swing usually used 4/4 time unless the bass section was a tuba which was rate.

@@anonygent basically just tap your hands or feet: feel the beat. There’s 2 harder, more noticeable beats for every 4 notes. Try having your left hand tap to the bass drum and the right hand tap to the rhythm overall: you’ll notice right hand taps 4 times every time the left taps 2. So, 2/4 time. This is oversimplifying, but it’s really just something you learn to feel when you learn to play music or dance: it’s hard to explain or demonstrate via text.
