This is like the perfect wave to practice! I wish I had one like that when I began surfing. Tricks on the small days and tube riding / fast take off on the bigger ones. Such a gem of a spot!

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! I'm an old guy now that has surfed all around the world and I love seeing these young guys having their fun and the stoke that they have for surfing! It reminds me of myself as a kid back in the day.

That was absolutely amazing. What a down to earth and generous way of looking at surfing all over the globe. Well done everyone involved and MORE PLS

I really enjoyed this episode. Smiled the whole time. Love the energy and full send attitude of these kids. If Vans or someone else well known would like to organize a GoFundMe, I'd definitely chip in a few bucks to help get these kids some boards and wax to share.

reminded me of how sebastian inlet used to break back in the day. Sebastian only wishes it was this good now. Ask Jeff Crawford to watch this episode to see how the kids push each other positively and... share... not really how the wedge at the inlet was run back in the day haha. Great to see some culture and hear some traditional music. Cheers to all that made this happen. Really stoked to see this. Looked fun as heck.

This is super heartwarming and just makes me more excited for the rest of Weird Waves this season, I’ve only surfed once and don’t even live anywhere thats close to an ocean. Yet I’m just so intrigued with the personalities and locations that I keep watching. And have slowly fall in love with the sport along the way. I give it a “Very Cool/10”

these groms rip!!! stoked as, big smiles, sharing waves and the love of surfing.this is hype..I wish I had enough$ to send them some gear or teach them to shape!!! Africa has so much talent that is slept.they have the waves and weather, a natural affinity for the sea and the physical attributes to be the best!!..I hope the boys left every spare bit of gear they could to nourish the gnar' in these frothing groms!!! epic episode..

Favorite episode so far. Love this series! That last song is so good too.

I learnt to bodyboard here in the early 90s! There wasn’t really much surfing then but I do remember two Italians turning up who were really good and got a good crowd. Tarkwa doesn’t look much different, but the water looks less polluted and the city buildings in the background look much bigger. Nigeria has its problems but the locals just accept it and carry on. Great to see a good surf culture developing! Is the yacht club rotunda still there? So good to see this and great little doco mate!

I thought the same thing! WAAAAYY better than mine and I have been surfing for quite sometime! LOL

Made me emotional when i saw how much the kids enjoying themselves. With what little they have out there havin fun. Reminded me when i was a fresh lil grom. Keep pushing the limits you groms.

Key to making surfing accessible in these developing countries is decent boards that they can afford. That means finding economical materials and tools and teaching them how to use them.

By far my favorite episode... Stoke level was through the roof!

That wave is the perfect fun session experiencce. What a great local vibe. With a small influx of quality equipment those kids an that community will flourish. I hope some company or organization see's the potential and donates some time an money into the growth of a new surfing culture

Awesome. These groms do need some boards sent to them. Good vibes. That said at 51 and a surfer since 1985, the colonist in me makes me glad that ill be dead before it is a world without empty lineups.

I’ve always been intrigued by wave pools. I’m glad to at least be able to see how much technology has benefited the progress. Though I won’t be able to surf one because of my advanced age and ailments. And perhaps the cost. But thank you Dylan Graves and your crew.
