Pugs are awesome! God how much I miss my old pugster, it's been over a year since he left this earth but still think of him every singel day and night. One thing's for sure, it's never quiet with a pug in the household and they make you smile even on a bad day :)

My 2nd generation puggle did this too.

I've had various breeds over the decades. I just retired and got my first pug a year ago. Best dogs ever. He's become my second shadow. Love him.

Apart from licking the guinea pig, all these behaviours are typical for a pug!

The snorting and snoring just add to their love ability.

LOL! Our pekingese used to lick our guinea pigs TO DEATH! I think she thought they were puppies. She would track them down behind the furniture, sandwich them between her front feet, and groom them until they were wet. We'd hear these little yelps from behind the couch or chair and she'd be there with a wet guinea pig under her chin. LOL

@@erikamolina6916 thank you. also in answer to your dog question, it really depends on your lifestyle they are all good dogs. a pug is good for a new dog owner as they are easy to train and are more likely to adapt to your lifestyle instead of you adapting to theirs like the other two but a pug does shed year-round so if you can't handle that then maybe not.

Lol my pug does all of that!! One thing that he does that I still can't figure out is that he never eats out of his bowl. He'll grab some kibble, come to the living room, drop it on the carpet and then eat it. He ALWAYS does this. Idk if he just wants to be near us when we're in the living room or what. We've just learned to live with it. Funny pug

oh my god I actually feel a lot better about my pug I thought she was just insane lol. She does almost all of this stuff except chase her tail.

@@erikamolina6916 depends. If u live in an apartment or want a companion dog then go ahead, get a pug. They are small breed and won't take up much space. If u want an independent dog who is energetic and can stay alone while u go for work or groceries, then pug might not be for u. Pugs are like babies. They are sensitive and shed like crazy so u have to make frequent trips to the vet. Also, don't get one if u are a light sleeper. Sleeping with 3-4 pugs sound like a whole engine lol

He probably thinks the guinea pig is some sort of strange looking/smelling puppy. :-)

This pug looks so cute he does everything my pug does, he loves sucking on either the tags on blankets or on the ears of his toy fox, such funny personalities.

Exactly like my boy Benson! But he also loves running in circles . . . 🤷‍♀️🤣😍🐶

My family and I had a pug for 11years, he did ALL of these weird things too! Haha What a great video, brought back so many cute memories.

Yup my Henrey sleeps/snores with eyes open I love his snore. He's also very nosey about our neighborhood. Licking everything too. Loves to watch TV especially scary shows. Barks at street signs too. Weird 😬

My pugs do all of those things except licking a guinea pig because I don't have a guinea pig. Btw, I have 4 pugs.

My pug Artus does these things too, that butt-sitting looks just hilarious. Pugs are the greatest dogs!

oh, & the stretch they do on their tummys like that is called a "sploot", which is equally adorable as this pupper lol!

Just so you know, I am no experienced vet or anything of the sort, but I am doing my research on pugs as I am very much wanting to get one. I have found the inability of closing the eyes when sleeping is a condition common in pugs called Exposure Keratopathy Syndrome, this could be inherited from parents, but it's likely to be a breed problem caused by the anatomy of the dogs eyes. A lubricant applied to the eyes at bedtime would keep the cornea from getting dry. Left untreated the exposed part of the cornea will eventually dry and pigmentation will form on it. Again I am not an experienced vet nor do I have any qualifications I have just researched such things like this and this is what I know. Also I am not saying your dog has this, I am purely saying this is what it could be.

I believe you nailed it. My Bugg(Pug and Boston Terrier mix) has to have eye lube twice a day and my other Pug mix has to have an eye drop in one eye and lube in both twice a day and my mom's pug is basically blind because they all sleep with their eyes open.

Loved your editing! I have a beautiful pug too (Who is actually snoring and snorting right beside me) Everyone just has to love these wonderful creatures... The only downside of owning one is all the hair that they shed!

He is adorable!!! And all this is true about them haha. My family bred pugs, and at one time we even had 8 pugs! We called them "the herd". Now imagine that snoring times 8! They are the funniest dogs ever! I really miss having pugs. I have a Boxer and a mentally unhinged Chiweenie now.

If you want a active dog that is attached to your hip, get the German shepherd. If you want a crime dog that is independent and will give you space get the Husky. If you want a inactive dog who you will only need to walk half hour a day and sleeps sixteen to twenty hours a day. Also won't let you out of their sights and super cute. Get a Pug.

Our dogs sunbathing never stops amusing me. Always been wondering about the planket-sucking and ear-licking also! He does it to his plushies also :D

I got my first pug back in 2000! I wanted one so badly that I drove the hour to the pet store the day before she flew into Maine from Kansas and paid for her! Sight unseen! Then went down the next day and waited at the pet store for an hour waiting for the guy to get back from the airport with her! It was love at first sight! She was 8 weeks old! When we left the pet store I stopped at a vet clinic and asked if they took walkins! Normally they don't but cuz they had a cancellation they took her in! She had a little kennel cough but that was it! She was all black and she rode right on my chest the whole way back home! She weren't much bigger than a red solo cup!! We had her for 12 years! She had one litter of puppies! My brother has one of the puppies and he just turned 13! And another one of her puppies, the only black male, lives 2 houses down the street from me! So I still get to see a part of her! I'm trying to save for another puppy! They are just so much more exspensive now then they were 18 years ago! I paid 800 for her back in 2000! Now their like anywhere between $1200-$1800! I had gotten a settlement check back in 2000 so I could afford it. Now tho it's a little harder!! I donated one of her puppies too! Tri-County mental health services had a little girl who had been thru the ringer and so she got a puppy as a therapy dog! She has her own place now and STILL has her puppy! She had her puppy certified as a therapy dog and gets to take her shopping and everything! Pugs are the best!!! I will ALWAYS feel this way!!

Licking feet is a classic sign of allergies in dogs. Suckling toys/blankets is a sign he was weaned too early. My pug was a great friend to me for 14 years and I miss him terribly. He brought me joy.

I was watching this with my pug, while she sad on the pillow on her butt. then she lay down and sucked on my blanket. and then bit her feet for a few minutes. then she fell asleep with her eyes half open and snored the same exact sound as your pug!

I've got 4 puggies and your boy has got to be the twin of my Finley, from how he looks to the things he does! The snoring, the suckling blankets/soft toys etc, sleeping with eyes open and sitting on his butt! I thought I was watching a video of my pug!

I don’t know if guinea pigs can look bewildered, but if they do, it’s how that little fellow was looking. Thankfully they’re social creatures, much like pugs!

Yeah, this should be titled, "Typical things my pug does." All 5 of my pugs do these and stranger things. Like sleeping with a tennis ball wedged in their mouths, or piling all their toys up at me feet wherever I'm sitting, or repeatedly scratching at the door to go outside...just to get me to get up and open the door and them turn around and go back to where they were.

Tell them that this great aunt thinks they are being very unfair to you. It is never ok to laugh at anyone. For family to do this to a family member is abuse. You might just have to wait until you're a grown up to get a dog, unfortunately. Maybe you can ask your aunt if you can baby sit her dog.

@Naruna having had a pug for 15 years, can confirm that all of these are true. A few things I noticed: 1. The ears: in a few of the clips, it looks like his ears are a little wet or moist. Does he have issues with yeast build-up in his ears? I know Haley (my good girl) did for a long time, and we had to regularly flush her ears out with a medicinal solution; 2. Licking feet: I noticed in a lot of cases, pugs may have a slight poultry allergy, and if they ingest chicken or turkey, they start licking or gnawing on their paws. Cute boy, and awesome video ^_^
