The funniest thing is watching them "leave" things in mid air. They forget about gravity.

I took a tour at Nasa with a Dutch astronaut as guide. He said that at test about 6 experts are around you watching you and taking notes while you take a dump; Not a real pleasure.

That “effect” those astronauts felt by seeing Earth is called the “Overview Effect”.
Would never have guessed any of this! Hats off to all astronauts 👨🚀👩🚀🚀
So it takes this to see earth from space Respect to those brave astronauts
Chris Hadfield wasn’t thousands of miles above the Earth’s surface while serenading us with his guitar. The ISS is only on average 250 miles above the surface and the shuttle’s maximum operational range just barely reaches the Hubble Space telescope at 353 miles.

Just made the same comment. Pretty sloppy of them! If they wanted a "big number" there for effect, then they should have mentioned his speed, not his altitude.
This is interesting. It makes me think of space making people return to an earlier stage of development like a baby tethered back to its umbilical cord. The biological changes of space like the loss of muscle and the expansion of the spine, make me wonder of the changes lifeforms would have to make if they could somehow live in space, what types of bodies might they have evolved.

There was a story I heard where they saw a fellow astronaught out of the module .. he was banging on the window asking to let him in... but that astronaught was right there next to them. They both looked at each other as if they were both watching the same thing.
As a teen I spent a few months tipped backwards, in spinal traction after an accident. When I eventually stood up again I had gained and inch and a half in height (I'd stopped growing long before) and couldn't balance for 5 weeks.

Pandorum about sums it up. That's prolly what we got to look forward to.
Keep up the great work you should do what if we had no gravity👍👍
5:53 I actually intend to use much of the Apollo 13 soundtrack if I ever get to go to space. Of course, I think in this context he means the dialogue piece after "Spirit in the Sky." It is called Housekeeping, and they first do a roll maneuver, and then stir the oxygen tanks. This is when the explosion occurs, and it is included in the piece.
Great video
Neither Chris Hadfield, nor any other astronaut since our last trip to the moon, has been "thousands of miles above the earth's surface". Both the shuttle and the ISS only orbit around 300 miles or so above the surface.
Puts it into reality really that we'll never be able to just casually visit space or another planet. Our bodies simply wouldn't be able to handle the constant change in pressure.
Never knew that, glad to know now.
