Here are subs for when Weili spoke. Bear in mind, my first language is not Mandarin. Her accent and some expressions she used were unfamiliar to me. There are some things I will miss. For those of you who are fluent speakers, feel free to fill in anything significant, out of interest. 0:03 I am so looking forward to this trip. I think This is a chance to meet new friends, and build my martial arts abilities. I am very especially happy. When I was shopping, I dropped my phone on the ground. There is this crack. That's ok. I'll replace it when I get back. 0:25 Oh I put it on backwards. I was wondering why I couldn't find my face. 0:33 I've never been to NYC. This is my first time. The impression I have is it's a financial center, lots of skyscrapers, lots of talented people. Newark Airport Brian Butler-Au, Weili's manager 0:50 Finally got here. I slept all night, and it's evening again when I got here. How can I sleep again? I don't know. We have flown for 14 hours. We're going to the hotel. Then, we'll find something to eat, then take a rest. Tomorrow will be the true start of my stay. 1:20 This is not that late here. This is only about 9pm in China. If I waited until 11, it will be too long (without a meal), so I'm starting with a coffee. I really feel like eating potatoes. Oh, it's here, and 3 eggs and a sausage. American style breakfast. I like it here very much. I'm not a picky eater, so I can eat anything. 1:57 Now we're on our way to a martial arts gym. Then get some hyperarch training (with Chong Xie (you can check out his KZread channel for more videos with Weili, to see his approach to conditioning and injury prevention)). The first time I was here (it was LA), I came alone. Everyone else had their teammates with them. I felt so lost. I didn't have an apetite to eat or drink. I was concerned with how many hours I ran. On my fight day, I didn't eat anything. I just had a coffee and a piece of cake. Then off to my fight. My second fight was in Beijing, so it was a lot more convenient. We were not far from the site. Coach Cai went with me to check in for the first time. The first time I thought it wasn't necessary for him to accompany me. I didn't need to train anymore, just do some running. The second day, Coach Cai felt like there was something wrong. Even during running and other activity sessions, the other competitors pretty much had all their team members with them. I ran alone. Coach felt uncomfortable, so he called some people to be with me. 3:27 Now we're here, we're getting ready to train. 3:56 I feel like I'm learning more and more. I am increasing my martial arts storehouse (of tools). 4:35 I have finished for the day. I'm too tired. See you all tomorrow.

Dude, thanks so much. I can't believe how much detail there is in this. First half already sounds like her innocent self and it's easy to imagine her voice, but that stuff about doing her fight and training alone is remarkable. I can see why the Coach wanted to blend in, but in some ways I'd love to show off to everybody that I didn't need company. Sticking out has some advantages.

I like when she uses words like "punish" and "Joanna" in the same sentence... Bringing the Chinese players into UFC is a brilliant move on Dana' s part. It's going to force everyone to up their game by being gorced to adapt to the new styles and te techniques they bring. Bu gorced I mean if you want the belt you have no choice. It goid for the sport on the long run. Its ibterezting mo one wanted to fight her until she had the belt, very telling. The Chinese will have early success until yhe others players adapt. Then the Chinese will have to adspt themselves... and the spirt evolves with their participation.

Jeezzz! Think there is enough hype about this woman? Yes, she seems like a great fighter. So lets bury her in interviews and American Sodium loaded greasy cuisine. Sorry but I have been following MMA since UFC 1 and really following womans MMA since it began. Yes she demolished jessica A, so? Jessica has ZERO skills. Just steroids and swinging arms like windmills. she got really lucky with Rose. Do I think Weili will be a dominant force? Of course I do. Butcan we give it a rest until she dumps the booger woman.
