Hey Lindsay! I’m also in Austin. I’m in the process of getting the SADI. Right now just waiting for insurance approval so I can set the surgery date. It’s nice to find someone that’s still early in the journey to follow. Thank you so much! 😊

So exciting!! You will be at my point before you know it. The weeks before snd after surgery really tested my willpower and self control. It’s hard, but it doesn’t last long. Best of luck!!

@@prateeksa physically, probably but know that you will be tired and healing. If you can wait a little longer I would. Getting enough hydration and protein the first few weeks can feel like a full time job.

Yes! I had the same problem! That was my only complaint too. I found that emailing the general email line usually was the most effective way of getting a call back. I would ask them to forward my email to the nurse advocate.

Been watching all ur vids, awesome work. I'm considering getting the procedure soon. Does the sadi stop you from being able to eat anything. Meaning are you still able to have bread or rice etc when a bday comes around can you have some cake or does the sadi make it hard to enjoy anything like this any more? Thanks for ur vids really helps

Glad they are helpful! I have a new one ready to upload so keep an eye out for that! As for your questions, it’s going to be different for everyone, sometimes people have things they can’t eat. I personally, don’t have that probelem. I can eat anything. I don’t. But I can. I enjoy birthdays and holidays somewhat normally, just a lot smaller portions. I am very grateful for that! I address this more in the upcoming video.

You’re doing an awesome job! I’m still pre-op 😔 currently waiting on insurance approval. My channel is AmyinAZVSG. I feel your pain & anxiety over flying. I’m so looking forward to being more comfortable on a plane. I know I’ll struggle with drinking water with meals as I haven’t been able to master it yet pre-op. Practicing at it though. Thank you for sharing your journey. I love hearing other people’s journeys and how they overcome obstacles. Keep up the awesome job! ❤️. I did not catch in your videos how old you are. Thanks again!

do you have really negative reactions to eating certain fatty foods or dairy products? some people have said they became lactose intolerant right after the surgery. doc also mentioned that diarrhea is common after fatty foods, i'd assume fried things. have you experienced anything negative in that TMI department?

I’ve had very little reactions to anything. A little at first, but after the first few months, nothing bothers me. I just can’t eat a lot at one time.
