I used the same company to up plate my LWB Sprinter to 3900kg and that was just a paperwork exercise for this van. Interesting video, thank you.

Yeah ours was as we’d already fitted air suspension on the back to help with the load and road holding.

If you can get the DVSA to check the axles weight as well. You can be under weight overall but overweight on an axle. My local DVSA weight place is really good at helping out when I was building my van.

We are up plating from 3.3 to 3.5 tonne as we sit right on the 3.3 tonne limit when fully loaded!

Anther lovely and informative video - on thing though: What weight did you up-plate to?

Thanks! 🙏 We went to 3.5T quickly realised we didn’t mention that. Due to license restrictions we had too.

Hah! I checked tonight and mine is already 3500Kg :)

I have a 2020 MWB Ducato but the GVW is 3500kg from the factory. How come yours is different ?

Soo I think some of them are classed as maxi’s which are 3500kg. However they may have changed it on the newer vans?

Hi after up plating did you get cheaper road tax? 😃

Sadly not as we went from 3.3T to 3.5T. When you got over the 4T mark it is you go up to private heavy goods and that’s when you get cheaper tax.

Sorry but you were at least 3.2 ton as Jess was not in the van when you weighed. You also need to weigh the front or rear axle only so you can work out the axel weights . The good part is that you wil pay less road tax . I did not have to send any info re air bags just photos of them fitted.
