Definitely a must see place!! In the top 10 awesomest places to see in Florida. 735 plus springs in Florida and some that are not accessable without looking on maps and with a boat some can be still be enjoyed. Florida rocks, best state in the USA!

Would recommend a kyak, your gonna find some very VERY steep places that nobody in the world can swim in without gear they'll drown, so yes my opion yes a kyak or a boat. I'd say you can swim maybe about a little more then half way before finding steep areas.

FYI: they just enacted a law that these Kayak companies can no longer drop you with your kayak at the top of the river. We had way too many people polluting the river. Now they put you in at Rodgers Park so you have to paddle upstream to the spring area.

That's terrible, I've paddled upstream before when I put in on my own and it wasn't the most enjoyful experience. Thanks for the comment!
