Today I was literally criticizing how I looked while I was working out in a new workout set I was excited to wear. But like you mentioned, I noticed how strong my legs were looking after being consistent but I focused on my mid region which I struggle with. So I really appreciated your chat at the end. I loved the body image chat. I got off social media a few years back for a few reasons but comparing being a huge one that I never realized until it wasn't there anymore. It's almost funny how quickly your self image changes after getting off those platforms for a little. Inevitably, the confidence bleeds into other aspects of your life in the most wonderful way. Not to say it isn't enjoyable to share your life - but unfortunately it can feel like a competition most times. It's refreshing to hear other women speak about social media not always being what it looks like. It's a good reminder for us all. I love that you share the messy parts some days too. As cliche as this sounds - I do hope you realize all those insecurities are truly in your head because girl - YOU LOOK SO FINE! Love ya!

Not gonna lie I’ve always struggled with body image. I was bullied at a very young age and I never felt confident in myself mentally or physically until this year. I hate that I’ve always compared myself to others, I know that’s a problem. It’s still a work in progress but I’m getting better with that. Hearing your story made me realize that I’m not alone and I’m beautiful in my own ways and that I need to stop comparing myself to others. 💜💜

The waterworks has just turned on full force, and I need to get a hold of it, so I can get back to work, but this was amazing. Please share more about this, because I can relate so much about Instagram, and I don't go on it much, because all I do is compare myself. Around 5 years ago I started Tone It Up, and the challenges were a lot about losing weight (I think they might have gotten away from that now), but the pictures of the founders were model/competition fit, and I got sucked up into that, and even though I don't follow them anymore, my brain and how I think of myself, is how I would look after the 8 week challenges, and doing the ton of meal prep for them. It was so stressful. I wish I would have never found them, but we need to be kinder to ourselves, and I agree with everything that you have shared. You're awesome! :-)
