I really love your shelter 😍 I've been wanting to try something like that. I believe that's something along the lines of what some European gypsies used, too.

It’s a shelter with a lot of history I call it a tinker tent but it’s also known as a “bender” and gypsy tent Grab some Willow or Hazel and make whatever size one you like I fully recommend it, you don’t have to use canvas you can use tarpaulin even secondhand tarp or simply sheet of plastic thanks for commenting my friend, I need to catch up on some of your videos👍👍

@@badgerandthewoodsman Thanks so much! From old photos I've seen, it looks like they used to use whatever they had on hand, from canvas to rugs. Rugs, especially wool rugs back then, probably added a good amount of heat retention on cold nights. Traveling in caravans and carts, the weight probably wasn't as much of an issue as someone traveling by foot, so they could really layer it with what they had in the caravan.

@@richjoebushcraft I’ve searched up old photos on this to and every picture tells a story often struggling but still smiling for the camera, amazes and inspires me. Regards BatW

You seriously think the Police are going to be bothered about your Opinel? As long as you're not flashing it about in public croded spaces you are fine with that, not as if the Police have taken to doing woodland spot checks. Talk about making a drama out of nothing yer big jessie. Anyway by the time you have read this message you've probably butchered that knife. This is the problem with some KZread campers, all drama, no common sense.
