I served with 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines and I can tell you this right now that this is the most accurate portrayal of an infantry Marine out there. The only other TV series that comes close is the Pacific

lieutenant is actually a saint, he knows the enemy uses civs as human shields so by attacking civs he shows the taliban that using civs as human shields won't stop fire missions. In the long run he is saving civilians, absolutely based.
