I work 6 16 hour shifts in a week so I get how it feels. I always look forward to when I get to sleep in and not have to get up in 4 hours to go back to work. Can definitely be draining but seeing my patients happy and healthy and knowing I was a part of that is truly amazing.

Wow. I am L&D nurse in Philadelphia, and u can absolutely have 2 patients on Pit, yes, it’s busy, documentations every 15 mins, but totally double. And yes, sometimes your pt is on Pit, on insulin drip, on Mag, getting amnio and all that jazz and u still get a second pt. You must be working in a tiny hospital or in a non populated area. Cuz here in Philly, we r BUSY lol

We might have two on pit if it’s busy but not the norm where I am, if they have all that other stuff going on it would only be one to one

I’m an LDRP RN in Oregon and thankfully we are pretty good about following AWOHHN recommendations for staffing and can only have one pt on pit, but sometimes two if they are cervical ripening. Sometimes things are crazy on the unit and they have to stretch things but it’s rare.

I’m labor and delivery in Virginia! We can have 2 labor patients and they can be both on cytotec or pit or one of each. If their on mag they have to be 1 to 1. It’s so interesting seeing how different states do it. Our hospital it’s so normal to have 2 labor patients because of how busy we are and so short staffed

I just love your channel so much. They’re honestly my comfort vlogs. 🥹❤️ I started watching a little over two years ago, right before I started nursing school. I’m currently a nurse extern on a LDRP unit and it’s absolutely everything I ever dreamed it would be and more! I have two more semesters of nursing school until graduation and RN boards, but I feel as if this externship is the best thing I could of did in preparation for becoming a LDRP nurse! It’s funny how I went from not understanding anything you would mention about nursing to knowing everything you were talking about in this video. I’m literally obsessed. Looking to make a basket for delivery nurses of baby #2, what are some things I should include for snacks/drinks/gifts?

Have you ever done a delivery with a patient who wanted an epidural but couldnt get it in time? How do you deal with it in a way of comforting them but also trying not to panic when they are in pain they werent ready for?

I always ask for a super thin layer of their strawberry cream cheese because they put soooo much!!

Aw thank you! I want to do a video on the products I use! But I have seen a huge difference in growth when I stopped dying it and I stopped using so much heat!! I loved braid my hair and put oils in it to keep it moisturizer! I do need a little cut forsure tho:)

I wanted to message you after I watched it but I didn’t watch it all at once,but an hour video was cool. it’s nice to see you and Ally together you’re both such pretty ,smart Beautiful woman with kind hearts. With the alley and the occupational therapist who switched to teaching or vice versa? I like the scene where you were rolling through the hospital floor with your sneakers I have a question for you I guess you don’t buy your own scrubs anymore you have to wear hospital ones.?Have you ever worn figs scrubs? I was thinking about getting a pair for myself and wanna learn how to size them correctly. Also curious if you got the gift card I sent you to your business email for your birthday? I have never tried fig scrubs before bc the hospital provides the surgical scrubs for us! I have heard amazing things about figs tho! I got the gift card you sent me and it means sooo much to me sal! Thank you so much! I got the closet organizers at target! I really like them a lot! I can put a lot of things in the bins! I know they have similar ones at Walmart as well! Nursing friends, how do yall get used to talking to Dr's when you have to page them about something? I feel like it's super scary and a lot of the time they are so mean. :( Madi how do you deal it? I struggle so much and dread paging them.

I'm confused, do American hospitals not have a bare below the elbow rule? I watch nurse/doctor DITL videos and I see people wearing doctors coats with long sleeves or nurses with long sleeves under their scrubs. Also with rings, watches, nails done etc. I've always been told that this is awful for infection control.

I’m surprised they let you have long nails or artificial nails at work. Almost every hospital I worked at had a policy on nails.
