    Hey harry, I am a Year 10 student in Auckland aswell. I am currently choosing my subjects and would like to know. Would the Cambridge curricular be more helpful than NCEA for applying to auckland university med or not? And what sciences do i need to study for med school. Thanks.

    Hey, thanks for watching. For the current admission scheme, Cambridge curriculum is indeed more helpful - and go for triple sciences. DM on insta if you need more support.

    Hi Harry, do you know anyone who's doing Medical Imaging at Auckland uni? I'm supposed to start the programme on the 26th of feb this year but I have a few questions and there seems to be 0 student reviews on the programme. I'm transferring from Otago and my heart feels heavy somehow to leave for Auckland, especially since I've had such a great experience at UoO. Cheers !

    Hey! Unfortunately I don't know anyone who's doing Medical Imaging here at UoA. It is quite a small programme and it's only been running for a number of years so I guess it's no surprise that there's no student reviews on it. If I do find someone I'll try my best to organise a Podcast/ interview with them so students like you can know more about the career. Come say hi on campus!

    Hey just wondering for first year biomed does everyone who take biomed attend the same lectures at the same time? Or is it split up into different sessions? Thanks

  • @HarryTheAdventurer

    @HarryTheAdventurer

    2 күн бұрын

    There's morning stream and afternoon streams, half the people attend the morning and half attend the afternoon, but you can always stream hop. Otherwise the lectures are the same. For labs and tutorials, they are split up into different sessions. Hope it helps!

    @@HarryTheAdventurer Thanks. I’m also a year 12 interested in optom for biomed but I’ve been getting like merits in bio so far so would that be bad knowing its gonna be way harder at uni?? Is the biomed work way harder compared to NCEA if you did take it

    Hi Angela, thanks for tuning in! Unfortunately not, you need to sit the UCAT ANZ exam before you can be considered for the admission.

    Why not live across the road from Grafton? it must take a substantial amount of time and would be considerably more efficient than coming from the shore everyday.

    @@HarryTheAdventurer Yeah, Auckland is prohibitively expensive, perhaps pop a note on your FHMS board that youre hoping to either find a flatshare with other med students or some med students to find your own place with.
