My parents also think its a waste of money buying flowers especially since you can grow them which shows more sentiment. P.S This doesn't apply to people who don't have gardens or live in small houses, then my parents think its fine but if you have a flower bush, then cut some flowers, put them in a vase and give them to your loved ones
